There is a joke there, somewhere, but I'm not going to be the one to make it laugh

Two Scouser Chavs obviously looking for opportunities to be 'on the rob' tried to blag me in a car park Switzerland last week, and if I'd had a boot rack or this bag on the car I suspect either would have been gone. Security will always be an issue whatever you've got.

I'd be more concerned about how the thing performed at continuous high speed triple lepton travelling across France in the early hours or the likes.

Obviously I'm not talking MX5 here, but the bag may fit other vehicles. I would hope that the fabric on which it sits were available in a more 'discreete' colour.

Looks like a good idea to me at a very reasonable price for the waterproof spec.

Why not a boot box, fitting with their 4 way system ? The rigid material wld act like a rack - a rack and suitcase combined. Seems to me a better solution than a bag that a knife could slit open in seconds. Could even be colour matched.

Like the old political saying...
here today, gone tomorrow

(in this -(luggage lol) -case
buy it today, find it nicked tomorrow
and in a few months (probably less) no longer on sale.

Amazes me how they get the free publicity
(like AT's piece on here - did he get a free one?)

IDEA!
Think I'll start selling a 'spare seat' with 'free' webbing straps to mount on the roof when you need that extra 3rd passenger complete with 3rd passenger wet weather gear rofl

If you need more space DON'T BUY A 2 SEATER!

haha, that reminds me of driving my Fiat Barchetta in Germany once (where they are even more anal about motors) and the girl at the garage asked if I was at the pump with the Porsche". I said "yeah". The guy behind me went purple with rage. sweet.

If you cant get enough stuff in a sportscar boot for a fortnight away you should be buying a normal car!!
Joking apart, its got to be the ugliest 'bolt on' Ive seen for ages; its a bit like a motorcycle luggage bag, so what next; throwover panniers on the back LOL.

Attaching it to the bonnet would solve the problem.

Would it work on something like a F355 Spider? The engine is in the back as we all know...

Probably be problems with cooling and maybe even the cords (which seem to go under the bonnet/boot) catching fire?

So its a sport bags, some adjustable straps and a bit of foam padding.

Revolutionary. They don't even have a decent website.
Who cares how good their website is?

Should a company that offers one product with a limited market, pay 10s of thousands for someone to make an amazing interactive website, with all the bells and whistles? or should they just concentrate on the product they are selling?
I don't think they've spent 5p on it. You don't have to spended 10's of thousands to make it look half decent. i.e. properly resized jpg's, text that doesn't have lines through it. My Dad could do better. It has amateur written all over it and this for one would put me off buying the item. Sell through eBay until they get the site half decent. At least then buyers would have a bit more security. If they're going to to make a real go of it they'll end up selling other products too so get it right sooner rather than later.

There used to be a much better thing for MX5's called JazBags - they fitted to the rear parcel shelf behind the seats and attached to the brace bar. Didn't obscure your rear view, and didn't get wet when it rained (unless your roof leaked or you hadn't recently cleared your drain holes)

I've still got a set despite not having an MX5 any more. They are excellent quality - shame the company doesn't seem to exist any more.

EDIT: It looks like the MX5 owners club bought JazBags, and they are now available from their merchandise department (http://merchandise.mx5oc.co.uk/)
