I used to work for Smart back in 2004 when they were selling these. I know they were produced in 2002 but we could not sell the damn things! We had an unregistered one with about 600 miles on the clock. It had been sat out in the yard with no cover on it for 2 years!! Its was fked before it was even registered!

We even tried to eBay the damn thing. I agree it would be great in thailand or somewhere like that but up North it was a big no no!

Whereas nowadays you struggle to buy one for less than £10k.
