look at the profile of the car. long, strong shoulderline, athlete's sides... very few cutlines. This car brings out the cheekbones of the BMW natural bulldog face. It also brings back the sharknose, which had all but died out a little while ago, in favor of a more leaned back look. The public doesn't like it b/c this car has a bit too much showcar flash around the edges. When this car is ironed out, the headlamps will be more angular and conventional, and cutlines will have to be lowered to make panels profitably (simply) shaped and replaced items. just wait... this is a sign of good things to come. Another thought. This car actually tells you where BMW is going. It confirms the z3 spy photos, the 5-series and 6-series hints... would you rather it looked like a cadillac CTS? don't think so.

Over here you can hear an urban legend about Fiat Coupe. Basically it says that someone, passing near the soft body shape, scratched it near wheelarches. The boss liked that scratches very much and the rest is the story. (Ugly one)
I think that in this case someone fallen over and over the soft shape.
And it is soooooo boooooring. BMW or not.
Chris bangle the now head of bmw styling used to head up fiat.....when the coupe was done.....oh dear.
This new bmw and the 7 are examples of very bad design. there is no harmony with any of the lines, the surfaces are unrefined and unresolved. they have throw away many of their excellent design ques in the search for some new asthetic. they could by many means look for a new asthetic with out sacrificing the very strong brand they have. Do you know what the scarry thing about the seven series is? it was chosen from over 30 design models. exactly how bad were the other 29 if that was the best? these cars make me embarrased to be a car designer.
