Looks like a Merc (as far as I can see at least), fitted with a Volkswagen engine and it is supposed to be the epytome of Britishness. Thanks, but no thanks.
(Could not really afford it anyway )

the slr would most definitely be available in RHD if mercedes thought not that the 11 million would be worth the extra markets, but if it would gain more than 11 million back in the process of offering the option. make sense now? there are only going to be a few hundred of these. lets say 500 for the entire run for 250K apiece. The whole project will only earn 125 mil in revenue, and you know that while that an optimistic enough number, I'm sure development costs will take a HUGE chunk of that. throwing an extra 11 mil into development might not increase revenue enough to make it a worthwhile move.

Given that approximately half the world is right hand drive I would have thought that £11M in £250M would have been worthwhile, but, I do not work at MB

If anyone is interested on seeing the bentley coupe , I've seen definitive spy shots on this weeks AUTO BILD magazine. It does have that modern retro-tech look, and a VW influence in the design is really evident.
