My renewal is working out the worst ever:-
43 year old
max non claims
no points/convictions etc
owned for over 10 years
1500/2000 miles a year
Adrian Flux £460.00
Manning £490.00
Essex (not even in London)

Anyone else i should try !!!! This is the highest ive ever had to pay !!!! I'm really struggling to justify keeping it for the few hundred miles ayear im doing at the moment !!!!

Have you declared any modifications? I can only assume its your post code or the declared value of the car?

Hmmm, i dont have any modifications and have an SS postcode which has never been an issue before.

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I will check them out tomorrow.

Oh and i valued it at 17500 (it only has 23k on the clock).

Interesting reading,

I have mine on a two car policy, with the declared modification.

30 yr old 8yrs ncb no points no accidents or claims ever.

My nissan hatch was about £600 for 12k miles, the Cerb was more...

What puzels me is most insurers wouldn't get close to 600 on the nissan never mind a sensible quote for the Cerb...

You live in Beirut.....icmfp

Seriously if all else is in order; age/experience/nil points etc, it must be your postcode.

I am a C which sadly is because on occasion the Sheffield crew come out and steal all the range rovers.

lol don't have the fp but do have a few hundred dirham I've been looking to offload tongue out

I am am in a C area...I was just thinking - don't the ins companies granulate to greater detail than just the post areas? My ps code would cover quite a large area some parts are really dingy..

It's worth people pointing out when quoting their figures as to whether its as a second vehicle policy or main car policy as this makes a big difference.

An Update as I really don't get it:-
SS12 post code (It's an A according to the post code link posted here).
Competition Car Insurance (£560.00)
Henderson Taylor (coming back to me before 1:00)
I need to re-insure it today so the best i can get so far is £460 from Adrian Flux !!!! I'll post an update later....

Mines up in the next few days and I just handed over £367 to Adrian Flux, my renewal was £430 and the Flux one is better. Both include Euro breakdown cover

Oh well, i feel ive been raped compared to others on here. Henderson Taylor came out at 450 without breakdown cover. So stuck with Adrian Flux. 460 for a crappy 1500 miles with breakdown cover. Getting to the point of considering selling it if now. Really peed off now!!
