There was a thread on this a few months ago.

Really need to remove pedal although I expect itis possible without. There is a metal top hat that pushes into the top of the pedal through which cable passes, push this out,. tThere is a slot in the top of the pedal filled with glue which you need to cut out to allow the wire to be be removed. Remember to fill with glue when you reassemble.

I pulled the old cable through until only end was showing in engine bay then attached it to new cable with lots of zip ties then used the old cable as a mouse to pull the new one through and around the route. Took a lot of push and pulling but it did work, do not just rely on pulling old cable as it is a tortuous route and it is a bit of a battle.

I wonder if some sturdy rope/string would work better than the old cable, but this method worked for me.

I tried first just pushing it through and finding it at the back of the bulkhead but had no chance. Fortunately I tried this before removing the old cable.

Good luck and enjoy wedging yourseld upside down in footwell. Reminds me I still need to remove footprints from the headlining.....

It's a bit of a pig. Psyche yourself up to spend two hours upside down in the footwell and you'll be fine.

This one requires several cups of tea !

The extraction of the cable itself isn’t too difficult but re-laying the new one, with its tortuous path from the bulkhead around the Master Cylinder, requires the patience of Jobe.

( I took the driver’s seta out to do the throttle pedal end )

Yes, two hour job.

I think I might have invented a few new curse words.

However, after a two hour test drive I can't seem to remember what they were smile
