My tyres were all made in 2005 and didn't inspire me with confidence when doing a trackday on the high speed corners. One tyre is a Goodyear Eagle F1 and the other three are toyo proxes I want to change them all for something a lot better and would appreciate advice. I dont plan on lots of track days. Maybe a couple a year so r888s are probably overkill. I have a 4.5 with spiders if that helps What seems to be popular these days?

I've been using the Goodyear F1 assymetrics for a few years now. They've never let me down in the dry or the wet!

Did a track day with them and found them really good in both the wet and dry nice and progressive and predictable. I have GY Asymmetric 2's on my spiders and i think they are even better again than the 1's I cant look past F1's for a road car and great all rounder.

Ive just put toyo T1S on SP12s on my 4.2. A little early to say too much as I also changed ontoGaz Golds and TopCats did a full geo which has transformed the car on the road dramatically. I imagine I would see even more benefit if I could get past a noise test and onto a circuit!

I have recently fitted the GY Asymmetric 2's. Very good, and they were a similar price to the Toyo T1Rs.
Just fitted Toyo T1S's to the Tamora and they have gone to asymmetric tread pattern aswell

trackday favs seem to be toyo 888's, but I like Eagle F1's for great all round performance. yesterday I drove to Norfolk in pouring rain and the last 40 miles was on flooded roads. I had no issues.

The Toyo T1S seem to be coming up a lot but I don't see a lot of people who have provided a good comparison between other tyres. A tyre indy recommended them and stated they are good enough for a Audi RS4 they should be good for a Cerbera. However there is a huge weight difference between the two cars which might affect performance. Thanks for all the comments. It's really helping

I suppose it's all down to the conditions we drive in. Advan AD08's are incredible off the line compared to Nexens that the car did have, very similar to Toyo proxes T1R's in tread pattern as that of the Nexens. They have a steel insert in the sidewall to eliminate flex, ok in the wet. But rarely drive it in the wet.
