I actually have a Recaro start with cushion I am not using if interested. (The seat in the pic on a previous page of this thread)

Oooh. I may come back to you on that, thanks. I couldn't go and see the car today so hoping to on Wednesday. Will keep you posted....

I just thought I'd follow up on this thread, on the off chance that there is anyone else out there who is interested in a performance/hobby car that they can enjoy with a young family.

It is stated earlier in this thread that the Janes Monte Carlo R1 seat fits the Cerbera. I can confirm that it does indeed. We have two with the Xtend impact cushion and these fit my 1 year old and 3 year old daughters just fine. The front seats are forward a bit which is no problem once in but you do need to fold yourself in half to get in the Cerbera doors with the seats anywhere other than all the way back laugh

Anyway - here you have it - a pair of toddlers in a pair of Janes Monte Carlo R1 Xtends in a Cerbera...

The Monte Carlo is still a current model which you can buy brand new in all the usual places. They cost about £140 inc the Xtend new on Ebay. They're also nice and light for man handling into awkward positions (i.e. through a Cerbera door. The fact the Cerbera's rear seat belts plug in outboard of the seats is quite useful actually.

By the way - my younger daughter isn't special needs - she was just mid-funny face and quite tired when the photo was taken!

Does anybody have an original Cerbera child seat with impact cushion in Portland grey that they would like to sell?

Have you seen the cream one on ebay? Retrim? First on I've seen with the bar.

I have a cream seat and base spare - cheap good for a retrim.

1st Baby due in June anyone got a Cerbera baby seat available, Portland grey or red preferably... Ultimately colour doesn't matter as a retrim would be done if it all worked out. Thanks in Advance folks

Does the TVR seat offer enough neck support? Head restraint looks fairly cursory on that pic above :/

Im not so much thinking of crashing, but it appears to offer no lateral support just for normal driving and going round corners.

Mine wont be in it for long while yet (The isofix in the RR Sport) is the safest way to go but Im thinking after a year or 2?

Dont suppose anyone has a TVR child seat these days that they're selling?

If not does anyone have any options what to buy? The Recaro start became too big when it was updated. Is the Monte Carlo R1 still in production?

Thanks, bit far away from me to collect and I only need the one.

I've checked and the Montecarlo R1 is still in production so I think I'm going to order one of those since I left a deposit on a Cerbera Speed Six this morning!

The law now says a child under 15 months old must be in a rear-facing seat.

http://www.netmums.com/lifestyle/holidays/travelli...

The law had been 9 months when my son was born 8 months ago. We were planning on taking our first Cerbera holiday this September but alas, the law changed...

For those that have the Jane Montecarlo R1 child seat, does it make any difference if I get the normal one or the 'Plus Xtend' seat?

Only difference I can see is the bar across the front? My daughter is 2 years 8 months, so would she need that?

The Xtend bit is the impact cushion. It uses the car belt otherwise. My youngest is 3 and I keep her in the impact cushion which is suitable for up to 36kg I think. My eldest is 5 and weighs 18kgs which is the earliest you can use the car belt my wife tells me.

Ok, cheers for that. I'll be sure to get the xtend one with impact cushion then.

Do they fit it quite easily then? Or are there any things I have to do to the seat or the car before fitting?

It fits in as it comes but I unscrewed and removed the Isofix bases on ours. It puts the seat an inch or two lower and buys the child more knee room from reclined front seat backs (or buys the front occupants more leg room).

The outboard rear seatbelt buckles are very handy you'll find.
