4 Valves per cylinder ?
Discussion
I was at my engine builder,s workshop today picking up one of my race engines that they have been upgrading for me.I was nosing about as you do when in a workshop that has all sorts of goodies and saw that they have built a AJP V8 engine with four valves per cylinder.Has this been done before? Should i be thinking that this would be a good upgrade for my AJP engines ?
Do you know what the heads are off? they don't look like they were designed for the AJP as we know it since nothing on the front end lines up judging from the pics? Have they found a V8 head set with the same bore spacing and trying to get those to fit I wonder? Interesting project and fascinating pics .. would love to know more ! Does anyone recognise the heads as being from another car?
I missing something here but someone has placed 2 heads (of unknown origin, with casting dimension miss-match and too small a bore) on an AJP block and there's talk of 32V V8s...
From memory, Melling knocked up a CAD scheme and or machined the schemes in Ali but I don;t think one has ever run, has it?
And no, it won't fit in a Cerb unless you hack the chassis and body to bits.
