I'm sure it will fit in mine... doesn't look like a race block though.

no it doesn't look like a race engine block they are like hens teeth ,probably for road use.i have a race AJP engine in a challenge car i might upgrade if the heads were a good option.i probably should have asked at the time.still what advantages would you have in a road engine ?

Dunno. 4.7 race engine with 4v, and a real screamer....
There was a race block going for grabs on ebay, but needs quite some work since no end caps etc... not sure if Dom has any more blocks?

Do you know what the heads are off? they don't look like they were designed for the AJP as we know it since nothing on the front end lines up judging from the pics? Have they found a V8 head set with the same bore spacing and trying to get those to fit I wonder? Interesting project and fascinating pics .. would love to know more ! Does anyone recognise the heads as being from another car?

With heads that wide would it still fit inside a Cerbs engine bay? I bet it would be very tight.

I seem to remember reading that the reason they didnt make the AJP8 a 4 valve engine was because it wouldnt fit in a Cerb.

Wow...... someone has virtually designed a complete new engine here. Could you not politely ask the builder for more info please..........

I missing something here but someone has placed 2 heads (of unknown origin, with casting dimension miss-match and too small a bore) on an AJP block and there's talk of 32V V8s... From memory, Melling knocked up a CAD scheme and or machined the schemes in Ali but I don;t think one has ever run, has it? And no, it won't fit in a Cerb unless you hack the chassis and body to bits.

Mr Cerbera said: Don't understand... Yep 420 on a standard but mapped etc 4.5 but with 2 extra valves then a lot more apparently.
