Not again....! Does no one know how to search for last weeks 4.2 vs 4.5 thread?
Never mind there's only time for 4 or 5 more identical threads before next year.

well, if i remember correctly, the 4.2 is the original design, and veryyy rare as well.
think that as of 1998 TVR started to us 4.5 blocks with 4.2 inlets. So actually the original 4.2 is very rare and will probably very soon be extreeeeemly collectable.
and for the speed and power... well, it turned out that if you like to have more power than that super refined rare and oh so collectable original 4.2 you already gave... you really need to put all kind of strange and very unoriginal TVR things on your 4.5...

P.S. i know you did not guess it but I do have a 4.2 xmas

Had a 3 x 4.5's. Had a 4.2 temporary engine for a while in current cerb. Prefer the 4.5, more refined and more powerful.

Yeah so after realising they had got it wrong they decided to start doing it properly and made the 4.5 :-)

I suspect that when some people get down to Le Mans each year they say to their mates 'let's not talk about cars again, we've already had that conversation!!!'

Noooooo RR4.5 all natural, anything else is pure silicon implant wink

And I prefer the all natural look with all the jiggles and sways but a quick nip and tuck to a 4.7 would be lovely. smile

There's nothing silicone about a factory 5.0 AJP! Admittedly not an original fitment, but still all Blackpool.
