If it's USB host enabled then it should be fine.
If not then the PlayStore won't allow you to download the app to your device.
Have a go and let me know how you get on.
Please make sure you use the cables I listed on the PlayStore!
Best wishes
Aide
Im going to have to nab my wifes old samsung S3.

The best thing to do is simply open the PlayStore Listing for RS-AJP with the device you potentially want to use and it'll say if it's compatible.Ill be digging out my ancient HTC one then ... !!

Just to mention, it's working really well on the S2.
One question though, is it possible to load up a saved layout? Because after saving my layout, one of the dials got moved out of position, so I decided to reset the entire layout thinking it would load up the last saved. But this loads up the default layout you designed. I can't seem to work out what saving a layout even does?
Cheers

When you click on "Save Layout" the app creates a file in a directory called rs-ajp in DeviceStorage.
The filename is just a timestamp with a .rs-ajp extension.
With the following format: YYYY-MM-DD hh-mm-ss.rs-ajp
So, to open a saved layout you just have to use the file explorer on your Android device and navigate to the rs-ajp directory. In there you will see a default S3 layout and any layouts that you have saved. Click on the one you want.

Presumably there's nothing special about the Micro USB OTG cable you have linked to. Just wondering as its got a delivery time of 14 - 21 days, so will probably order an alternative from amazon with quicker delivery.
Hi m4tti, no - nothing special about the OTH cable I listed, it's just that I've used that particular one and it's fine. This USB OTG Cable also works 100% with an S5 as well, I tested it with Vee8ight. It's on amazon prime too

This works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S3
My Y-lead arrived today but although it allows a connection to the ECU it is not charging the phone. I should have read the advert as it says it wont support charging and OTG at the same time. In fact it doesn't seem to want to act as a charging lead at all.
This is the lead that I have and i am using it with an Xperia S phone.
So it is back to the standard OTG lead for the moment.

Perhaps this might work with your Sony:This is the lead that I have and i am using it with an Xperia S phone.

Aide, have you tested this with your Nexus at all ? Would be curious to know if it's possible to charge it while a usb device is plugged in. Everything I've read so far suggests it's not possible.http://shop.valarm.net/collections/cables-connecto...
App looks good aide!
Has anyone got it working on nexus 5 or samsung S4? I think that both have USB host capabilities as keyboard/mouse work when plugged in. Also phones register the rs232 cable when plugged in and runs the app, but no info/needles showing.
FYI - using this ftdi cable that works with the originial tvr diagnostic s/w.

Many thanks for downloading the app.
Currently working on this and should have news shortly.
If you could bear with me that would be great.
Many thanks

My tablet and cables just arrived so I go out to the garage to connect it all up only to find that my ECU does not look like I expected?
There is no serial connecter not a 3 pin fly lead.
I have a whacking great ECU with a 2 pin fly lead...??!!
Can anyone help me out here?
The previous owner said Joolz had remapped it so it obviously works with the car, but why is it different from the rest of yours?
Aide? Do you know what I can do to get this working? Should I open it up and have a look?

I'm about to buy a tablet to use this on. What is it that determines the compatibility. What besides the android version is impacting the non compatible devices in the compatible device table.
Before I she'll out I'd like to understand why, as no one seems to let you use these things and return them once opened.
