330mm front discs group buy?
Discussion
Probably the same reason That TVR did it, and Lotus with Elise's.
Leave it with you..
The discs will be on show at the Autosport show, on the CL stand on Thursday and Friday, we are also doing a charity painting of John Surtees who will be signing it, its a free prize draw so worth a go. ( a donation to the Surtees Foundation might be nice? )

My calipers are the 6-bolt type - yes, yes, I know they're minging. Going to sort that when fitting new brakes all round.
My discs appear to be 322mm. Can you still do front and rear pads? I know you're out of rear discs so will source those elsewhere as mine are frigged and make my pedal vibrate.
Yes, we have spacers already for 322 upto 330mm, bolts will be in this week so ready when you are My discs appear to be 322mm. Can you still do front and rear pads? I know you're out of rear discs so will source those elsewhere as mine are frigged and make my pedal vibrate.

Sorry to go off topic slightly I have some ap6600 callipers I want to fit this summer I know the centres are 130 and the originals are 152 just want to know the best way to mount them was thinking of drilling new centres on the original blocks or is there a better way cheers
Yes, you could re drill the blocks, but beware how much meat is left.but THE BEST way would be to change the uprights for later ones, the bolts screw straight in, but you will need new bolts as they are different length and thread.
Why do you want to change to the smaller caliper?

Argh now I'm all confused... I am mechanically retarded but I will jack her up tonight and have a look at the drag strut bushes.
Am I right in thinking this (in RED) is the drag strut and the green arrow is to the bush in question?
How do I check to see if its had it? Play in the steering, play in the wheel once its unloaded? Visual check for cracks etc.
I had assumed it was warped discs so am more than happy to get some nice new shiny 330's off Paul
Sorry to go off topic. PM me if need be.
Thanks
Lee
Yes thats it, get a pry bar or similar, look for the bush looking like its separating or just generally baggy, it will move a bit though as its a bush. Am I right in thinking this (in RED) is the drag strut and the green arrow is to the bush in question?

is it too late to resurrect this thread?
I need a new full set of discs for the Tuscan 2000. The fronts are about 300 though not measured and wanted to know if there are any in stock of the new fronts at 330mm? I would need spacers I believe. Also the front calipers are the black ones with TVR written on them. My old AP ones had to go when I crack was spotted in the uprights.

Paul.
We have fitted them on one of the RX7 LS engined cars, he had 355mm on bells, the car is a 500bhp car using full slicks, trackday use.
He has had severe warp problems, using Ap and PFC rotors, and they kept going out of true, he tried 3 lots of brake pads, Pagid, Ferodo and CL, next we were going to swap the AP 6 pots for something else, but we popped a set of these 1 piece 330's and hey presto! 3 trackdays later still straight as the day we put them on and no wear, these really were the acid test, we are both very pleased with the results.

We have produced these, and remember these are one off designs and castings, in very small quantities in industry standards, not re-drilled cheapo's, but not put TVR tax on.
We take delivery in July of another 500 discs in every size including standard sizes, drilled and grooved options, so standard sized fronts in 304/322 in drilled, and if you want grooved rears to go with the 330R on your T Chassis we will have them!
Prices will be pleasant
