Pete, that is one stunning Cerbera, congratulations.
An another note, on an 02 plate, would one not expect a recessed rear numberplate?
Yes you would expect it. Maybe Tvr produced it like that at the request of the owner. Maybe it's been repaired. An another note, on an 02 plate, would one not expect a recessed rear numberplate?

I notice that the concourse Cerbera is now at £31k.
(Edited: I thought you were talking about the £34k car with the 4.7 engine in Ireland.)I am sure that with the right attention to detail and selecting the right (upgrade) parts you can restore a Cerbera to better than factory fresh. Making cars of this quality worth very strong money indeed.

New chassis with documented rebuild with photo's then not a problem.
Put it this way, I was at the Le Mans classic a couple of years ago where an old Ferrari was stuffed into the barriers at the ford chicane, the owner had had the car for 2 weeks having paid $8M for it.
When interviewed he was asked about the value of the car and he stated that it was not a problem as it would be rebuilt without concern to the cost and would probably be worth at least the same after the rebuild.
If it is good for an old Fezza then it is fine for me!!

i understand what you mean but TVR does not have, and very likely will never have, the same status as Ferrari, Maserati and so on.
I agree that on the long term it does not mater if the car was Cat C/D.
Just look at old Grantura's... even without being a Cat C/D the chassis will have been changed.
But i think that that is mainly due to the fact that those cars are classics. A Cerbera a collectable but not a rare classic yet. Guess that in 20 years from now the prices will be like 3 or 4 times their current prices, but in the mean time they are not. And the car will, even if all works have been done perfect, still have a lower resale value.
You will have to wait long before that difference will be gone, so according to me it all depends on how long you will keep the Cerbera. Could be that in 10 years from now the care is that rare that people dont even care what color she is. Or that she has been a Cat C or D.
What would actually be very good is if they start making TVRs again, fast, loud and just simply smashing as before.
For resale value it is also very important, i think, that people dont forget the brand (of course we will never but many others.....)
so to conclude i think if you buy a Cat C (and repairs work were done prefect) and you will keep it for 10 years, no worry at all. Buy it!!
