no great shakes but got the other engine mounting fabbed up and tacked in place also got the gearbox mounting made and tacked in place start on the body today,

been busy today stripping the internal panels and sundries like the aircon unit brake clutch pedal assembly the heater matrix winscreen wiper assembly expansion bottle oil cooler plus a few other bits, just as an aside found lots of very thin layup in several places, but got to get the steel cage out tomorrow ready for a proper roll cage to fia standards going to do a couple of days on the wedge then back on the cerb next week get the body back on the chassis ready to go to the rollcentre.

good days work today got the tvr cage out got the chassis on the cradle ready to slide under the body the body hanging ready to lower on the chassis tomorrow ,went to pure precision to get the manifold bases water jetted and visited emerald to get the dimensions for the dyno coupling, car will be at the rollcentre in about ten days time so all moving nicely forward.

Love the thread and can't wait to see the end result, cheeky question - do you have any pictures of the heater assembly in place, or the access in the body. I think I have a leak on mine and need to get it out to repair.

Dyno coupling? Are you mapping the engine out of the chassis?
Emerald struggle with tyre slip over and around 450bhp it seems.

Great build coming along nicely, I think one day when mine is getting on again I will build it in to something like you are doing.

Thanks for the good words,itis going on an engine dyno for mapping and running in the chassis will be painted using zinc primer high build undercoat then a high solids finish same as the griff i re chassised a a while ago means no water tracking under the powder coat and very easily repaired touched up.

couple of pics of the heater and aircon first two are the aircon drivers side then the left hand unit on the floor is the heater then the space in the inner wing in the foot well where the heater goes it is held in by an ally strip and a very awkward screw at the top into the glassfibre hope this helps.

got on well today got body back on the chassis and all bolted up then attached the chassis to the build cradle ready for transport to martin short.

car is now at the rollcentre going to be there for about three weeks will pop over from time to time for photos of the build heres how it looks at present.

Body on before roll cage in.....to avoid errors? or why?

Body on to allow correct fitment the cerb has the roll cage running close to the body shell which is then glassed in to provide stiffness to the body so all needs to be in place to get it spot on plus they are stiffening the chassis with a front turret from the suspension arms top mounts then braced back through the bulkhead to the cage plus might be fitting air jacks all round.
