Owned a Tuscan and now have a 4.2 Cerb.

Thus far my preference for general road driving is the Speed 6.

For track days the V8.

Will definitely return to a Speed 6 at some point, possibly another Tuscan, hopefully a Sagaris.
Do you miss the open air which you cant have with the Cerb?

Has anyone attempted to put a sun roof in one?

i think raceproved did something like that once.
saw some pictures passing by of a silver cerb with removable top

as for V8 vs speed six.
My 4.5 is very easy to drive around town
Purrs like a kitten. it's all up to your right foot I guess.
Just the turning circle isn't always that convinient but can easily be solved with a gentle nudge on the throttle biggrin (or not so gentle biggrin)
I think there would be a bit of a performance difference between the three but nothing that would be noticable on the streets.

I bought a 4.2 as that was what the cerbera was built around and everyone I spoke to before purchase said driving a cerbera with an ajp engine was an "event". I was very lucky to come across a low milage original car that was exactly what I was looking for.
As you will know every TVR was hand built as were the engines in the cerbera so every one is going to be different and more so now that they will have been fitted with different tyres, wheels, suspension, brakes, clutches and a number will have remaps etc. No 2 cars are going to drive alike.
Test drive the ones you like, check all the common issues and buy the one you feel the most at home/comfortable with and hopefully sit back and enjoy.

There is blue Cerbera out there with a sunroof and a Tuscan 2 headlight conversion, if you Google it you should be able to find an image.

I love it! Cost me a fair few quid at St8Six, but thats because I wanted to get everything that needed doing sorted straight away before I drove it. So the usual stuff of chassis clean up (is solid and rust free), wishbones, fuel lines, seals, brakes, tires, clutch, geo, handbrake, MOT etc. Now planning on what I do over the winter - it needs paint, new lights, interior tidy up, air con sorting and a few other little bits like rad fans so enough to keep me busy.

Get one, you will love it.

To add my tuppence...

Having just stepped out of a 4.3 Sp6 Tuscan and into a 4.5 Cerbera. I will never go back to the SP6.
I am addicted to the whole package of the torque, noise and power.
I've done a few sprint events in a friends SP6 Cerbera so have some experience with the same model beit different engine.

Can't comment on the 4.2 as Ive only ever been a passenger in one a few years ago.

So for me, the 4.5 is my choice which is just my opinion BTW
