2 Days ago I was giving the Cerb a spanking along some B-roads. Much fun. I did however get a nasty noise when I stopped for a junction so carefully drove home (not far) to check. I found an induction hose dislodged from the throttle body so removed them all and resecured them.

Yesterday I drove the daily driver home from work and thought I really ought to get the Cerbera's air conditioning working for this summer, partly for the fuel cooler and partly because I may take it to England this year. The a/c hasn't worked since I got the car so I figured I'd make a shopping list of parts to get it going again.

When I arrived home, I rang around and found a Halfords 15 miles away who could pressure test the system for me last night to see how many leaks it had, for shopping list purposes.

Off we went, and almost way there the noise came back. We pulled in to the carpark and got a whiff of burning smell and smoke. Up came the bonnet and the a/c compressor pulley had siezed. I walked in to Halfords, procured some side cutters and cut the belt off before heading home again, knowing what Item 1 on my shopping list needed to be, but saving the cost of the pressure test for now at least.

A/C compressors seem to cost around £600 from TVR sources. It's not listed in the equivalent parts thread. Does anyone know if it's a TVR specific compressor or liberated from another car? The painful part is that I had a new compressor arrive in the post just yesterday for the daily driver after it started knocking and rattling.

Thanks Adambul. After some running around one practically fell in to my lap! So that was nice.
