cerbera front tyres, where from ?
Discussion
I need to get a pair of cerbera front tyres in 225/35r18 which is the easy bit .. the tyres are then rated 87Y (87 fr the load, Y for speeds of 186mph) .. blackcircles only have the preferred goodyear eagle F1s in W speed rating which is only to 168mph and I'm not sure of the insurance implications of running a tyre rated to less than the top speed of the car.
Anyone come up against this already and found a Y rated goodyear eagle ? Mytyres have them but at an eye watering 206 pounds each!

Should it make a difference. Given the only time you might see that speed is track day / runway etc so would be specialist insurance any way. Would a insurance company payout if you crashed at that speed on normal roads? Should you survive or are you talking track day insurers?
the owner does do a bit of continental touring so it would be nice to have tyres rated at 180mph even if it only goes near there very occasionally ..Englishman said:
