No, 4.2 exhaust is slightly smaller diameter than the 4.5

That's why I have two sets! My 4.2 tails got damaged so I sourced a replacement set, which were 4.5's and they didn't fit.

What sort of condition are you spare 4.5 tails in?

Anyone tried upgrading / improving the soundproofing in a Cerb?

My sports tails sound awesome and I don’t want to remove them, but I do have to resort to ear plugs on a long run!

I’m toying with the idea of stripping the back seats, carpets, etc and upgrading the soundproofing as a possible solution?

Reasonable, a few scratches but nothing that wont polish out as far as I can remember. They are in the workshop which is 150 miles away so can't look right now. If you can hang on until the B/holiday w/end I can send you some pictures then, and if you can make use of them you're welcome to them for the cost of P&P.

Thanks! I'm moving house in 3 weeks so am in no rush to accumulate any more stuff in the short term smile My exhaust works fine but sounds a bit lame.

I have electric valves on mine, with a custom exhaust, so switchable noise wink I know it's in the region of 143 dB with the valves open wink

Was thinking about doing a production run?

That sounds fantastic. Do you mind if I ask the approximate cost?

I run with an ACT quiet system, decatted and it's fine. It has extra silencing in the long centre pipes

i have straight through exhausts on mine and it sounds explosive when i fire it up, i love it, would recommend it big time. pops like gun shots and i love it. when i had pipes put on and heard it fire up i bloody jumped out of the way ! sounded like a top fuel dragster on tick over ! go for it, some of my neighbours moan but i cant hear them !

Mine was measured at 123dB and it does get a bit wearing on a longer journey. But the sound on shorter trips is awesome!
Ummm, I don’t know which Time/Space Continuum you live in but, given that each increase in 3 db requires double the sound power, then 123 db would be 64 times louder than 105db…..

Emmmm, that’ll be 4,000 times more powerful and you’ve either mustyped or your grey matter has become porridge laugh
