Air Con Fuse???
Discussion
Got stuck in traffic on the hottest day of the year, found the little windows just weren't enough to keep cool, and thought I'd try out the air con. Sadly it didn't work, not even the LED above the switch, so I'm guessing it's the fuse gone. Now having looked through the hand book, there does not seem to be a fuse specified for it....is this correct??? Or which number fuse should I look at??
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

The light will still come on regardless if the aircon has gas or if it's been removed!
You need to get the heater controls fixed first
Not on mine it doesn't! The light is only wired to come on when the compressor clutch is energised and the low pressure cut out switch prevents that from happening. No refrigerant - no light. If yours is doing anything different then it is probably faulty. You need to get the heater controls fixed first

That was nt the case on mine today.... Blue light turn on and off with the switch ... But the compressor only kicked in when it was re filled with gasGray_101 said:

You should be able to just take out the water radiator and the air box scoop to get to the AC rad. Be warned though the connections can be very tight indeed to undo and quite awkward to get a spanner on to when it comes to tightening up the new one.
I got my replacement from http://www.adrad.co.uk/ for around £120
If your AC has had a leak for some time you will also want to replace the receiver/drier unit that lives in the front passenger side wing below the headlight. Only costs about £25 from the usual suspects so its worth doing while you have it apart.
