Exactly right. Finding the nuts is a bit of a fiddle, I think they're 6mm, could be smaller.

Ian just doing a sanity check on the bulbs you kindly sent to me (and thoughtfully labelled). Am I right in that I have 2xblue 2xGreen and 4xRed???Ta
Ian
When opening to view connections not sure if I mixed some up.
PS I'll be ordering some orange for the fogs like you suggested but want to make sure I have enough of all colours.
Thanks again.
Unless I cocked up which is quite possible........you should have two red and two blue for the hot / cold knobs. Three green for the light switch but that only makes 7 in total whereas you get to 8, DOH!!!!
You can test them with DVM. Put the black lead in the COM terminal and the red lead in the terminal with the omega symbol (Ohms). Turn the knob such that it points at the diode symbol. Then touch the cathode leg with the black lead and the anode leg with the red lead. As if by magic the LED should illuminate. If it doesn't you might not have good contact or try swapping the leads over.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Ian
Just went and checked definitely counting 8 bulbs mate.
Then your slipped back into French on me... (Cathodes + - etc) lol
I'm sure I may have mixed up a green if you say you sent 3 of them? The mech will have fun checking. So it's just the 5mms from Maplins to grab and the orange ones perhaps. I'll take them with me and they can test for me I presume?
Thanks again mate.

After waking the convienient isolator switch I had a great run down to Racetech direct in Henley on Thames... Reason for the drive was to return some uprights I recently got from them. They were meant to be the later sag ones but were not. The guys were fantastic very polite and helpful. Also gave me a good education on possible furture developmeants on discs for the cerbera.
On the way back stopped at my carbon dipper to drop off a spare dash and switch panel I have for some treatment.
Car was mega all day turned heads everywhere and had a small chin wag with an ex Griff 500 owner while I filled up with Shells finest (Nitro/v power or whatever it's called).
A lovely day

I'd like to turn down the volume on the beeper that sounds with the indicators.
Is it the white thing in the centre of this photo? (If not, where is it?) cheers!
My early 96 car doesn't have a beeper, but a hole in the pcb in that area for one. Anyone retrofitted a beeper on an early car before? Is it the white thing in the centre of this photo? (If not, where is it?) cheers!
Taxed it and drove it for the first time since November. since then its had a new engine wiring loom, interior recoloured with a Furniture Clinic kit, dash LEDs replaced so I can now see when the indicators are on, new, harder (500 front 400 rear) springs, and the speedo refurbished.

Fitted my Saikou Michi catch can that I had made up in the States including a custom bracket that utilizes the bolts holding the airbox on.

Hopefully no more oil dripping onto the manifolds on track-days [
How did this work out for you? Do you still run the piping to it that way around? Any links as to where you got it from please?url]|http://thumbsnap.com/1cHygJBD[/url]

Here goes:
1st thing today was to MOT (passed) however it was a 1st time at this particular place and they were keen to test emissions even though I stated decatted! Also tested the handbrake from road test (I drove) passed (on the cusp)... Took the time to floor first and shake the tail at will.
Then met up with fellow PHer for a coffee and talk about his nearly ready LS conversion. Then shipped old calipers but managed to get the adapter brackets from the old uprights off so I can keep with me if I ever decide to explore the 5200s again on the later sag hubs
Then it was home after a 40 round trip drive to gym etc
On getting home and backing into garage an almighty shunt! Flew straight out the car to check what I had hit but I wasn't close to anything... Silly me was in gear when I took my foot off the clutch so I stalled!? Won't do that again! Lol
Again a very nice day.

Sunday - cleaned inside for the first time in ownership. (Only as I'll be taking some work people out in her this week) Pretty tough work really, more I cleaned the more grime I discovered! Could still do with a professional job, but will do for now.
Really does make a big difference. Should probably do it more often.

I am looking to replace the alloy elbows with the correct OD of 22mm as I could only get 19mm at the time and they may be a bit restrictive.
The link is here www.saikoumichi.com, the guy can make it with the take-offs at any angle you prefer, and with a bottom or side mounted drain.
I'll try and PM you the CAD drawing he did for me based on the dimensions I sent him for the can and the bracket. The only downside is it takes about 10 weeks to be made and shipped.
Edited to fix link

Topped up with oil then did a drive up to Birmingham. The way home was scary on the M6... After stopping Ito chat to Dom at power was on the motor way turned the lights on and literally as I twisted the switch the whole car went dead! Like everything!! Managed to cost to a safe point (the hatched section where another road joins it). Now power at all but the head scratch was iterior lights and hazards were working!
After 5mins of lorises shaving my side I put my hand on the "silver key" and there was slight movement. I must have hit a bump (or several throughout the day) and it disturbed its position and cut everything down. Once orientated correctly the roar was back and off I went!
HAPPY MAN!
