Bought a small compressor with a couple of airbushes and some leather repair paint.
Started on the gear gaitor - what a difference!

This dates back to Tuesday.

I popped into Power to see how she is going. (And to take away rear discs and front bells to paint the needed parts).

Always brings a tear to my eye seeing car with no engine, air boxes, calipers, gearbox in place yikes

While there Dom and I crossed Ts and dotted is and Jason gave me a brief run through and look at my various bits/looms that will be going in and a how we can tune the traction and launch maps (seriously exciting time ahead) the full instruction comes when we are at the fitting stage so I can place switches and buttons where I feel most at ease.

Very excited by all I saw and heard. Especially when Dom said "it's in my interests to squeeze as much out as I can wink"

More to come

Picked up my newly refurbed RL7s with brand new tires and what a difference properly balanced wheels makes.

Dropped the car off to the body shop for its prep and new colored clothes!

Nice spending money on things I can see for a change.

I scooted up to Powers to see how we are going with the 4.5/MBE rebuild and as Always I was totally Impressed with Dom and the Boys. As my total scope of works is not just the engine/MBE there are other logistical factors to take into account (1 of them being a customer that gets under your feet). As always I was made to feel welcome and not as though I was getting in the way.

My Callipers were recently returned by Jody after their new lease on life and I must say anyone wanting to get theirs done he should be your 1st call!!!

Ive only taken the 1 pic but OMG they are completely covered with 100% attention to detail.

After that my Airbox and filter cover were given to me so I could get them to my hydro dipper. For convenience I went with http://www.carbonfibremagic.co.uk/Contact-us.php#.... as they are near Power.

It was my 1st time ever speaking to Owen and his manner and info given was brilliant. I'll wait to see what I get back as his price was superb but if its anything like he had waiting for customers to collect he will have a committed customer in me for sure!

All in all a great day as Dom is running on schedule and guts were actually working on the rest of the car so I'll be getting back an absolute Beauty of a BEAST!

Thanks all parties involved with this one.

Trying to get rid of an annoying clunk from the diff area followed by issue with starter not engaging. While exhaust already off to get access to diff, unbolted exhaust manifold, disconnected oil pipe to filter so enabling manifold to drop and hey presto out pops the starter.

Finished tidying up the interior leather. Complete scrub down and restoration with a furniture clinic kit on the seats, that now look like new rather than very worn

Just got to clean the carpets and put the front seats back in.

Hah! Must be getting to that time of year then 'cos I have just been gliptone-ing my interior to death too! Used the gentle and intensive cleaners on a few areas and then lots of conditioner. Looking a lot better as a result.

Changed over my battery for the Varta that fits as the Bosch was dropping off very quickly and was eventually going to leave me stranded. Coded my new remote from David at HF solutions so now have a backup just in case with the old 'un.

......and now its raining............again......

What's Gliptone?

Just kidding, bought some ten years ago, never opened them.
