-Checked and topped up oil
-glued a bit of carpet in the boot
-glued the roll bar cover back on (hope it stays)
-finished my discreet rear camera install
-started and finished my discreet front camera install

Now I can see how far back I can reverse and inch towards kerbs and walls when parking smile

All in all a good afternoon of tinkering.

Top up power steering fluid. Beachy Head, Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and home to take it up to 960 miles. Time to book that first service!!! Only another 1000 to do before big injectors and a trip to Joolz.

Should you decide to use the 'gender changer' then these are they.

And you will need a USB extension lead to reach from the footwell to wherever you want the terminal.

You can download the software from the TVR Site.

And yes, it works absolutely perfectly. yes
Thanks for all the info and links.

Bought an angled spray for the pressure washer so I can clean the chassis easier.

Took it out for a proper workout, on some of the best roads I've ever driven in the UK - Brecon. I let a friend of mine take my Evo along for company. We left Chippenham at around 6:30am, took the M4 leaving at J25A onto the A4042 to Abergavenny. We then took the A465 West until the B4560 into the hills. Wow, just wow. Getting there for around 8am the roads were deserted and bone dry.... the sun was shining. Cue nearly an hour of hooning all the way to Builth Wells via Brecon and then onto the B4520. At one point I'm certain I had all four wheels off the ground. We stopped off at one point to take the views in...

Just watch out for sheep. Even an oncoming AJP8 at full chat doesn't seem to faze them! I finished the day with an impromptu drag race against the Evo down Hullavington airfield. 2nd gear roll up to top of 4th. Epic.

Well after much pondering and indecisiveness I had the wheels replaced with something new today. Such a different look to the previous wheels (they also were not the usual tvr wheels) but i kinda like it. More importantly I'm hoping dropping back from 9.5 to 9's on the rears will remove the rubbing I was getting under hard acceleration from the arches. Now to see if I can notice the average 3.5kg weight reduction per wheel.

Sorry for the poor quality photo.

Oddly the wheels I could not get from the UK, two stores told me they could order them from the US, even though they are Japanese, but this would take 5 weeks. So I tried a few US stores, and got them delivered from California in under 4 days. The spigots rings, I had made by a company just outside London, alas they off shored the actual manufacture to Lithuania (literally) so they arrived 7 days after the wheels even though I ordered both on the same day.

I treated myself and drove my car to work. Thought the 1120 miles i had covered between MOTs it needed increasing.

Think the rain had caused a slight misfire, but on the journey home was running sweet as.

Those wheels also look really good, wouldn't mind knowing where the spoiler came from too. I recall something similar but can't remember the answer.

Spent the day cleaning down my engine parts, front cover, oil pump etc. decided on new valve guides as two had a bit of play in them, so the machine shop will hopefully get them done middle of nxt week. Looking forward to putting it all back together and driving it again. Only driven it twice this year frown

Annoying bit of damp in the passenger side footwell right at the bottom so pulled out the carpets and side panel carpet to reveal the heater pipe hoses where they join the heater box. The top hose clip was clean and shiny but the lower was all corroded. Traces of rusty leak down the panel. Managed to tighten the hoses a good couple of turns so fingers crossed....

I recently drove to Bristol from Anglesey via Brecon, trying to take in some of these roads, and as you say it is epic! Great photos too.

A previous owner added it, sadly while I have a folder of receipts, the fibre glass splitter is not one of them so i have no idea who did it.

Left at 7am this morning for farnborough, a days work and then drove back again. Some lovely roads.
Had a strange one with a BMW 520d, or could have been a 530d. Dual carriageway south of reading, junc 11 and I squirted it past a car who was throwing his breakfast out the window, including a drinks can which went behind me.

BMW, came belting up behind me (I was doing 80 inside lane at this point) and sat in the outside lane on my rear quarter. Spidey senses tingling, I slowed to 75, he slowed, I slowed to 70 he slowed. I'm expecting it to be a copper, especially when he finally pulled in front, only a cars length in front, so I had to slow for a decent gap.
I turned off next roundabout, he went straight on. Seemed very strange. If it was a copper I thought he was trying to bait me to race.

Changed the oil and oil filter.
Was just wondering how much oil pressure is OK?
It went up from 60-70 psi to 70-80 psi.
I did go from 10W40 to 10W50 so it is a bit thicker.

Busy car weekend refit cylinder head to my gsi Corsa mix and match air box's to get airflow meter to fit to modified plenum without a cone filter. Fit modified exhaust manifold with lambda moved to collector still have to extend wiring but it runs. Sort oil leak on vectra V6 daily driver remove plenum chamber and remove front cam cover clean and seal refit, refit plenum let the sealant go off. Quick look at the Cerbera and a sit in the driver seat hmmmmmm.
Rebuild top end on my sons Aprilia Rs125 2stroke new piston, cylinder, power valve measure squish all good then retap thread on his crash bobbin and mount after he cross threaded it. Call wife to remove metal splinter from thumb!!
Fit boot light switch to Cerbera clear out boot align boot lid a bit more. Sit in it again mmmmmmmm. It's going to be valeted tomorrow so I thought I should fire it up just to make sure etc. Switch ignition on, pop the immobiliser key in and out fuel pump primes up push start button and ........ Nothing do it several more times and bursts in to life smile back on face what a noise so much better than the 997 it replaced if not maybe as reliable.
I've been talking to Carl to put the car on his list when he comes over for alarm replacement and sent him an email so he can talk me throughout the starter bypass so it still starts.
I was planning on going to the Ace on Wednesday but I have to say I'm a little worried its first formal outing may end with trip home on the back of yellow Ambulance.
I've sent a mail to Carl again tonight and may give him a call in the morning if I get no response.
