I had another lovely drive... This time up to Dom at Power for a real good chat ahead of Decembers service. While there the lads kindly lifted my instrument cowell so I could run my the mic to my new head unit so the other person on a phone call can now actually hear something.

In addition to this we were talking about what I'd like done and OMG Power are in a great 8place with a great big new blasting machine arriving!

Oh and maybe this is better in another thread but the knock MBE I'll be also going for is bluetooth module compatible, now to look for the unit/app I want as it doesn't run Aides frown
Funny you mention that.
I already wrote RS-RV8.
Am working in RS-HUD.
And might do RS-OBD.

great to know Aide, will it operate off any bluetooth module as well or would you be working off a specific brand as wireless connectivity would be ideal.

After having new headunit fitted I was always annoyed by iPhone cable sweeping round then into front for charging and connectivity not to mention cable going upto dash mounted go pro. So today I decided to get a right angle drill and a 16mm bit so I could chase the wires in.

After removing headunit I cut a X in the leather where I was to drill down, had to drill carefully avoiding any wiring and making slits in leather bigger. Once done popped the wires through the void and put system back in. One cable then taped to underside of stereo cage and then in to front of the player so charges my phone (and satnav that is mounted above via those awesome magnet mounts). GoPro cable now goes the same way and drops into cubby and into dual USB charger I have.

Oh to finish/neaten the look when viewing from the top I used a rubber headphone access gasket used on sports backpacks etc just waiting for the evostk to cure wink

Much prefer the look a bit like when hiding wires on your TVs and hifis oh and use a dust buster with crevices attachment as the fibreglass gets about.

I'll and final pics when glue dried.

Think I'll leave it to Dave the trimmer to run the 3m dash cam cable up a pillar and into roof lining.

Changed the HT leads, cleaned the plugs, reset the idle speed and topped the dash pot up on the SU Carb..... On the misses Morris Minor I might add, it runs like a dream now.
I do wish the original owner had specced brakes though as it has none that I can detect....positively dangerous...IMHO.

Seems a bit drastic but looks neat enough thumbup

If you loosen the instrument binnacle you can thread a wire between it and the dash, from there route it towards the centre in the dark recess of the dash and then forward to where yours is.

Looked at that option 1st of all while at Power as I was initially thinking the exact same thing but it pinches when binnacle pushed back down and loses its flushness. Due to where devices are the excess cable would need to always be free for movement and not ultimately what I wanted. Totally take your point mate wink

I've drilled and tapped all the rose joints. Just need to cut and turn all the bars. Next weekend at work I'll be doing them when back at work

Done nothing technically but I have just ordered new inner wing, bulkhead, exhaust and starter motor shielding. After seeing Powers Tuscan 4.5ss dyno run called Dom to book in my rebuild & knock MBE (shielding will be fitted then)... very excited but more so as once thats done the spending can stop. I'll also be sending Tofts a set of callipers for painting. Oh and I passed my ARDS so she'll get spanked on return as well as testing session so I can confirm the fastest setting when using launch control.
