Put the PS coupling back on with a new Woodruff key, and a large grub screw to secure it.

I finally fixed the bonnet catch. It never worked when I bought the car, so I'd never seen how it was supposed to be set up, and I forget to check on someone else's car - Doh!

Discovered the boot lid has had the cat slide off it leaving quite a few scratches all across it! Gonna have to work hard with polish and trim the nails of the culprit.

Flushed the clutch fluid. Fluid level perfect so no leaks, and nice clear fluid with no evidence of seal damage. I'm doing this annually since fitting an RP slave.

Replaced the front caliper bleed nipples for shiny new ones (see alt parts thread). I strongly recommend doing this, make sure you use a T-bar not a ring spanner if the old nipples are even slight seized. I had to use a 1/2" socket/T-bar because the threads are so badly corroded, however the new bleed nipples are a dream in comparison.

refitted the near side rear calliper after sheering the inboard bleed nipple off and having it spark eroded out. Refilled the brakes with fresh CL brake fluid and bled through with the help of my daughter.

Replaced the rear bleed nipples. First time I did this I didn't have the right size replacements, so I had to use some that I got from a scrappy. The car had been so badly neglected that the only way to remove them was with a T-Bar, using much more force that you would imagine. It did remove a fair chunk of thread from the caliper, but I was able to clean up the threads with a tap. Now I've fitted new bleed nipples they can easily be opened and closed with a ring spanner.

Today I have mostly been trying to stop some rot. I want another year or so of driving before the expected body-off marathon. (I've done a body-off on a Chimaera so I am sort of secretly looking forward to doing the Cerbera at some point)

Exhaust off and general space making

Application of bristle

Put Kurust in a squirty bottle

Slathered the offending area with Kurust and now waiting for it to harden before painting with white smooth Hammerite.

Also fixed the A pillar trim:

Passed it's MOT this week with no advisories after 2 years off the road. A few more jobs to do over the winter, mainly glueing leather back on the seats etc, then a year of fun in 2015.

Moved it out the garage , saw patch of something on the floor under where the engine had been, cursed a few times, patch soon evaporated which smelt of petrol, so after one week of ownership I have a fuel leak in the engine bay, cursed some more !!!

Took the cats back off after MOT. Change coil packs and HT leads to try to get rid of an high load missfire prior to heading to Chesterfield for big injectors and remapping. Dying to know what the 4.7 is finally going to be putting out!

Standard advice DO NOT RUN THE CAR until you have changed fuel lines and sorted out the leak. It's not worth risking the car and more importantly yourself in a conflagration!

Good advice !! Took the f1 panel off to have a look around but no sign of a leak of anything anywhere , nothing on the floor also. Nice to have an afternoon to remember where things are in the engine bay, did tvr ever make a manual ? I couldn't identify where the fuel pump was? Have left it for tonight and will start her up tomorrow after work to see a bit of pressure gives me a clue to the leak. I think I'll be off to Taylor tvr for a look, he's my closest garage.

Don't run it down to Dan with a fuel leak!!! Trailer, AA or whatever - don't risk driving it.

Fuel pump is inboard of the rear passenger side wheel. Hard line run inside the cabin along under the centre console and come into the engine bay under the water header tank where they join to flexible hoses. That joint is a favourite place to start leaking.

The manual is here www.tvr-cerbera.co.uk - not that it will help much diagnosing fuel leaks!

I sorted a coolant leak from the radiator bottom hose then drove the car to Barry at TVR Ecosse to swap ECUs again - since my fixed one is still giving us headaches. I ended up tagging along to the club meet for a bit before having to shoot off to complete the other things I had to do. All in I drove my Cerb for around 6 hours yesterday and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it smile

I have those throttle bearings coming from ACT to fit. I want to be getting annoyed about non-issues and cosmetics like some of you chaps, but whilst last year the engine was A1 on the car, this year it just hasn't run properly and is giving us the runaround.

p.s. a heap more arrived after this photo. It turned out to be quite busy there...

Replaced the burnt out heater control unit for a new one. Yay. I can drive without coat and gloves again. I also tried to run the new RS-AJP app but it didn't work. I think my device isn't compatible.

I snapped one recently as well. I replaced both with Dave Mac equivalents.
