What have you done to your car today......
Discussion
Took mine out to take advantage of the winter sun and the low price of petrol at the moment.
Shell V Power at £1.21/litre, so I put £50 worth in, got a thumbs up from a guy in a VXR 220 and went for a blast!
The Cerb really does prefer the colder outside air temps, even had to put the heater on!
Happy Dayz...

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours garage but...! that looks like an amazing space to work in The 4 lifting pads were placed as close to the wheel arches as possible and slightly inboard of the outrigger recesses. This is only to do the necessary work to the tunnel and is possible because the body is being 'stored' in an elevated position on the chassis (note the timber beams on the chassis). The ramp has to take paying jobs during normal working hours so I have to be able to move my car each time. When it comes to putting the body back on I'll be using two engine cranes each picking up a spreader bar in the boot and the engine bay. I did consider using the 2 post lift for when it comes to re-fitting it, but the cranes give me a lot more flexibility to manoeuvre the body.
Wipers.
1) Change blades for Valeo "Compact revolution" flat blades.
2) Fannied about with the spring and its little extension bar inside the driver side wiper arm, shortening the connections in order to put more pressure on the screen as I had a dead spot right in the middle of my view
3) Adjusted the passenger side arm up one spline so it doesn't come to rest on the carbon trim. Now wondering if a second right-hand wiper fitted on the left might have a better parked position. *strokes chin*
4) My first car was a Citroen BX and I was well acquainted with the occasional need to blast the wiper-arm mounted washer jet tube thingy with compressed air to get the washers working again. No such luck on the Cerbera! Looks like one of them never had any holes at all! So on a whim, rather than using a pin or a drill, I used a razorblade to cut a series of slits at roughly 45 degrees down to the screen, and I must say it resulted in a really rather neat "fan" spray pattern!

Theres been a bit of a debate on tyre pressures on the Cerb Facebook page lately, so I thought I'd better check mine.
22 PSI all round....EEEK!
Blew them up to 26 front and 28 rear and the car feels much better planted.
Can't wait for the dry roads to fully "test" them!
Id suggest fiddling with different pressures until you get the right ones. They are very sensitive to pressure. FYI I run mine 24psi all round for the road and found that to be a sweet spot.22 PSI all round....EEEK!

Windscreen wipers have not worked since buying the car, wash/wipe works ok and has got me by for the time being.
Finally took the plunge to get the multi-meter out.
Took the steering wheel off and the lower panel to check the ribbon cable. Broke the wire for the wash/wipe connector on the top of the steering wheel boss. Trip to Maplins for some PCB terminal strips (code YW25C) and fix the connector. Replace everything to check it works again.
Made a cup of tea and ate half a packet of ginger nuts feeling thoroughly dejected that I'm back where I started from.

Well yesterday I had my nice shiny new SP12 rims fitted:
And today I dropped it off with Ian at Torque RVT to get the manifold welded and then MOT'd. Unfortunately I found that although I now have nice round wheels, my tyres are square due to being stood too long over winter
They look really good... Did you buy them new ? I'm going to replace my spiders soon as there rubbishAnd today I dropped it off with Ian at Torque RVT to get the manifold welded and then MOT'd.
