Just collected her from 12K service, and took for a celebratory drive to feel the new shocks and setup. As roads not that grippy took it relatively easy, but once fully warmed up stretched the legs in 3rd a few times...

One of the rear Protechs had lost it's damping, so had all 4 refurbed then the car corner weighted to re-setup.
Hi Mike, how many miles do you think you've done on the protects ? Mine are looking a bit shabby but no signs of any issues yet

I'm not at home to double check my service records, but I would estimate I've done about 20K miles on the Protechs.

In thoses 20K miles this includes lots of miles in Peak District & Derbyshire, so they've had a fair amount of bumpy roads, two trips to Le Mans (fully loaded), so I don't think they've done toooooo badly....

That's not bad at all Mike, after all they are a budget shock, I've done about 8K on mine and for the money I would recommend them

They do look good, do you know how much they weigh? I measured 17" RL7s at approx 10.8kg

Good to see you back, hopefully catch you at Burghley House later.
I've just weighed the Atechs and there 9kg so a bit lighter than RL 7s and I imagine a lot lighter than spiders

Today I taxed the car, correcting it's first SORN period in the 13 years I've owned it. The carbon fibre bits from ACT are now ready for fitting and then once done I'm good to go woohoo

Replaced a damaged CV boot, that I'd replaced only a couple of years earlier.

Replacing the boot was easy (but messy), but refitting the brake shoes was a complete nightmare. It's not like I've never done it before, but they really are a PITA.

One day someone will show me the easy way to do brake shoes, until then I'll just swear a lot helplessly.

Removed all fuel lines and delivered then to Earls at silverstone to make new ones. The bloke I spoke to used to go up to TVR to fit the fuel lines on the race cars.

I agree - suits your car well.
Looking forwards to seeing it "in the flesh" and catching up on your engine work.

Likewise, lovely sunny day down here and had to take a colleague back to the airport so I took the Cerb, loved it.

What was the damage for the fuel lines then, and we're they shielded from the heat in someway? Thanks in advance as I would like to get mine done

£180. Yes the two engine hoses have heat shielding on them.
