Changed my door seals and fixed the windscreen wipers.

Surprised at how squished the old seals had become, just hope that's the reason why I had a swimming pool in the drivers footwell.

Weird how both jobs are rain related.

Replaced Alternator belt, cleaned up fuel rail straps & fitted shiney bolts.
Fitted starter heat shield I bought off racetech for a fiver! (A pig to squeeze into place)

Started and tested ready for weekend, no belt squeals or jumping voltage on startup.

Engine's out for the chassis refurb. So sorting the heads out on the AJP, just in time I think! Thanks to Andy and APM.

And while engine's in bits, painting the cover (Ford Blue Velvet) looks like a dark purple.

There was a 4.7 with the heads off just in that spot not so long back, was that your engine then?

After months of trying to find the 2 - 3k "Flutter" I've finally thrown the towel in and took it to Jools this morning.

Fingers crossed all will be well again soon!

Due to a misfire after putting the car back on the road after my winter project today i changed the coils, and leads. Plugs got done over winter.

I however did find that i had the two throttle pot leads round the wrong way, which could explain the odd behaviour.

Also adjusted the handbrake, the new set up of a spot caliper works very well. I just had to reduce the amount the lever was up, about 7 clicks, back down to 4-5 now.

Test drive tomorrow. A productive day.

Sloppy rose joints on the throttle linkages and bad data in the mapping around 2 - 3k. New rose joints and a partial remap and all is well again according to Joolz. I pick it up in the morning.

There is only one word to describe what Joolz has done to the car....

TRANSFORMATION!

It is much smoother and mannerly at low revs but put your foot down and all hell breaks loose in a progressive power symphony. Awesome!

Annoyingly very slightly kerb my carbon dipped n/s rear wheel and take a piece out of the Toyo proxy frown other than that she's been great and totally blew away a wannabee that wanted to see how close to my rear he could bet for no reason on the m1.

Kept her in 5th and just waltzed into the distance... Great distance wink

Fretted.

That's it.

Longest MOT ever (alright, some paint-related issues getting fixed too), but am missing her as I look out the window at the fabulous weekend slipping by...

Enjoy it guys! driving

Not actually to the Cerb as yet but did order all my new LED bulbs for the rear pods and front indicators. (OCD now calmed as all other bulbs are HID/LEDs so I look forward to fully efficient lighting).

Created all the artwork for my cut graphics to finally name the car wink and ordered the coloured matched vinyl of stardust silver so I can wrap the lower sills to give stone chip paint protection... Now looking forward to the drive to Norwich on the 25th to have the enhancement.
