500 posts in less than a year. Just goes to show these Cerbs definitely keep us on our toes!

If your at a loose end tomorrow theres an informal Cerb and other TVR meet at the George and Dragon pub on the A19 Whitley Bridge, West Yorks at 1pm.
All welcome, and the more the merrier.

Cerbera was brilliant throughout but I really think a discreet rear lip spoiler on the boot would make me feel more planted and confident in the long high speed bends.
Often thought the same myself especially considering the design of later models. Would take a very good designer not to completely ruin the lines.

Finally started what is regarded on websites like this as a "detail". I figured after only washing the thing three times in the last 18 months that it was about time it got a proper clean. All of the body is now clayed and polished. The wheels are looking scabby and could really do with a refurb so that's another job for the list.

What a difference a 'click' makes.
Planted is an understatement biggrin
Out of curiosity, what settings are you running?
7bump and 5rebound
Out of interest what springs rates are you running?

I've just got a set from Joolz but not had time to fit yet

Thanks

One thing I've learned, after having another Cerbera on loan for a few months, is that they can be literally completely different from one car to the next.

Damper settings, spring rates, geometery setup, alloys, tyres and ride height can all differ and make two identical cars feel like distant cousins as opposed to twins.

Please don't start with my settings. The doc I posted above is good. I'd give it a read over a nice cup of coffee and then start from scratch, it's much better fun!

Spot on! I do recall seeing a red speed 12 in Top Gear or Evo magazine many years ago that sported a rear lip spoiler rather than the big bolt on "T" wing. That did look great and no out of place at all.

Ok thanks for the advice. I'll have a read, and I also have some set up advice from Joolz - start soft and work up

What did I do to my car today ...... ????

Well I checked the fluids and took it for a little drive, albeit on a private bit of road.

It hasn't seen road for nearly 6 months and I'm planning on taxing it for 3 months from Wednesday (at €511 for 3 months and €1809 for a year I reckon 3 months will do for now).

That few miles today made me remember why I bought it in the first place.

drivingcoolcoolcool

So now that it's back in action I may open up the pit in the garage and leave it open as the Cerbera will almost certainly be over it more than once in the next 3 months.

1800 euro for a years tax!!!!!!

Where do you live that they charge so much, and is that just because of the size of the engine?

I'm in Ireland and yeah it's nuts the way they charge us here.

They have two ways of assessing it.

Cars up to '08 are done on engine size ...

https://www.motortax.ie/OMT/motortaxinfotype.do

... and cars from '08 on are done on emissions ...

https://www.motortax.ie/OMT/menu.do?page=motortaxi...

If the Cerbera was actually newer than '08 it'd be even worse, would cost €2,350 for the year as it's emissions are in the high category.

Newer Lambo's and stuff like that with high emissions are all paying €2,350 per yrear for the road tax.

Lubricated the U/J on the steering shaft (behind the drivers wheel), changed the yellow sidelights for white sidelights and checked my calipers. I've had some vibration while breaking after it had stood for 2 weeks while we were on holiday. Found a tight piston, so worked it a little bit and it's freed off smile but I think investigating where I can get them refurbed would be wise.

Gave it a clean, watched a thunderstorm roll over and soak it again, went out and dried it off again. All ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Dreaming about "Argento" while currently on holiday in France with the family, wishing I had taken the Cerbera rather than the Evoque. While here I have purchased TVR child seat impact cushion from a PHer. will be having it re trimmed in grey Alcantara with the child seat itself by Dave TT when I get home along with my centre bolsters and door cards (quilted double stitching).

Then I will be fitting all the LED bulbs apart from the indicators as I cant be bothered to faff with load resistors!

Will also be giving the garage a spruce up of new flooring.

So, technically speaking, this wasn't all done today but by grabbing the odd hour here and there I've managed to: Replace the battery, replace oil pressure relief spring (now 80psi when cold), replaced all engine bay fuel hoses with over-braided PTFE stuff, replaced rad mounts, started to replace coolant hoses (I'll do the rest when my new rad arrives), fitted LEVEN wash / wipe upgrade, replaced cap-head screws with stainless thumb screws for ease of panel removal, 100A fuse and holder replaced with encapsulated type, machine polished the whole car finished with Dodo Juice Purple Haze wax.

Probably other stuff too but this is all I can remember.......

Local recommended person who's done quite a few TVR's, Nick Masons cars - Max £6k
S&D plus collection and delivery will be about £8k

that includes vat.

Both will remove doors, bonnet, boot, lights, windows etc

Missus has said I've spent too much over the last two years, but it needs doing, so I'm looking at this winter.
