I've gt enough material to make at least five or more
They will be 4.5 airboxes but a bit improved.
Using woven roving as the first and last layer so it'll be smooth inside and a lot stronger
And no chopped strands sticking out everywhere.
And will be making an improved intake design with a little bend at the end for a better fit on my short induction.
Already welded the aluminium funnels
I'll start up a post as soon as i've got some moulds.

Please put me down for a pair.

Would be great to pick them up in October on the way home from DN13 - Then I can say thank you in person for all your help and support.

Removing waxoyl....

Looks like it's been coated with white hammerite with the original powder coat still holding up well.

Not very exciting but I think I've solved a mystery of my battery drain. I spotted the rear interior light was on. On questioning my 5 year proudly told me that he always switched it on before getting out of the car!

I've therefore disconnected it.

Discovered another problem, leaky steam everywhere, cracked Y shaped coolant pipe union. Bought a brass one from TVR parts, fitted and bled the system again.

Fitted new door seals. The old ones were really pretty tired looking, and I have a leak on the drivers side which I thought was the clutch master cylinder, but seemed to be the door. This was the later type seal which certainly looks a more modern seal. The secondary lip to lap over the various trims is a nice touch.

Time will tell.....

Obligatory test drive gave less noise, but despite putting some silicone on the seals to assist the drop glass moving, I get a twittering sound as the glass and seal move relative to each other when the car is on the move. No great issue - I'll add more silicone later.

Doors certainly spring open too.

Got the scuttle panel off and applied tiger seal to the make shift clip that had been "bonded" to the underside coming away. It's taped down now and going off.. Will refit on Sunday.

Also sourced some AP 6 bolt 5200 calipers which need a good blasting and clean then going to my carbon dippers for a revamp, ready for my 330mm rotors to go on.

Massive thanks to Warren and the topcats team, they advised on my own handy work and let me get on with it. Fantastic outfit and look forward to seeing their near evolution.

Swore loudly and repeatedly at my car and the genius who designed the clutch slave cylinder whilst trying to wrestle the gearbox off and down the transmission tunnel. What was wrong with an external slave and fork arrangement? furious

My other car has an old fashioned fork/external slave, and I agree it is much much easier to change than the TVR slave when it fails (especially if you have a buddy with a spare to hand on a Friday night before a week long driving holiday), but if the release bearing fails then you are equally stuffed. I drove back from the Ring with no clutch as a result. It is also a lot bigger/heavier/clumsier than our setup, although I'd much prefer a Tilton rather than a custom slave.

Hi NilsP, I would also be interested in how this goes. I am currently rebuilding my cerb at the moment and on the strip down I found the mounting brackets were damaged although they had been repaired before. The funnels were also crushed and cracked, it would be nice to see an affordable replacement.

Fixed my air conditioning and what a relief after weeks of sweating like a pig. After dissecting all the wiring for hours I discovered that the wiring was fine and my Emerald setup is, shall we say, unique. They all use AuxOut26 on pin 26 for the A/C clutch except mine that uses AuxOut22 on pin 22. It was one of the first to get the Emerald so I think the A/C settings were still in development and not quite finalised. Still, it was that or cut 5 acres of grass so all in all not a bad afternoon all things considered. Just a diff oil seal left to sort out at some point but that might wait until winter and become a new Quaife diff.

Any paddle clutch users out there? Nasty drivetrain vibration at 1500-2000 revs in 4th/5th. Trying to figure out if this is a common result of my clutch choice or shall I also save up for a gearbox too for the winter.
