Not sure if everyone has spotted it but there's a chap on eBay selling the Cerbera V8 boot badges and he's not charging 100 quid each for them. They are soft stick on things, you peel off the old cloudy discoloured one and stick the new one on the backplate. Put one on mine and it sticks strongly and looks just like the original for less than a tenner.

Fitted some new split pins and springs on my rear pads and shimmed them up to stop the rattling.

Pleased to say that this mornings drive was a much more pleasant experience.

Pick out old paint, sand off chrome back to brass, about ten coats of halfords gloss black spray paint, allow plenty of time to dry (5 day).

Then sand with wet and dry paper until paint is removed from raised parts and finally about 8 coats of halfords lacquer, polish and wax.

One Previous owner of my car had de badged and had the original holes filed in when having front end done I believe. I've always thought they look better with the badge and I used the seller/domed vinyl badge you speak of and yep they are great and I def recommend. Stuck straight onto bonnet (no backplate) and it is solid! £7.95 winner! Also do them in gold and black and union flag

David, there was me thinking your post was going to say... "Made a rear lip spoiler for Alistair" ;P

Last night was drive it... Took the wife out to dinner but OMG she really hates going in it. Talk about the most nervouss passengers. She sat there the whole time looking like she had been kidnapped. (that was before I even turned the engine on) haha then constantly glancing at the speedo (digital GPS on flipscreen satnav) your "going to fast".. no woman it says 63mph and we are on a 70mph dual carriageway! Well I just hate it then! Lol

It was like that all the way out but fine coming home as she had some wine thith dinner so well out of it!

Now back to that spoiler David!

Weekend spent prepping the garage for paint, have to say, scrubbing 40 year old concrete is hard labour. Will paint the walls and ceiling this morning and fit strip lights this afternoon...

Nothing today but yesterday, drove from Cleethorpes to home via the Stamford car show. Around 250 miles with a big grin on my face the whole way even when it pissed it down.

I drove up there on Saturday as well and not a single spotted:-(

Last decent run till the body comes off in October.

My Alloy Pedals arrived (all 3 for £75 over the moon)!!

Went into the footwell as I thought Id fit but after being upside down and lots of blood to the head I think I'll leave it to Power!

Did you guys know once the rubber cover is removed from the accelerator TVR have already put the holes on the plate for the nut and bolt to fix? and whats better is they are in exactly the right place (on my car anyway).

Cant wait to have them fitted... probably around service time just before xmas.

I think a new black pair of Adidas Goodyear trainers may need/want to be purchased ;P

If at 1st u don't succeed try try again, so I did. After sourcing the right tools (8mm spanner, 8mm ratchet socket added to the having of a Bosch electric screw driver with all the reach extension and hex bit needed) I got down and dirty. Removed rubber cover and got the plate in.

I did have to stick the washer to the nut prior to save having to try and get fingers involved and it worked.

After 10miles or so I'll give another tighten. This time fully by hand with ratchet.

Leaving the other pedals to the pros though smile

Jacked up the front of the car,set on axle stands. Remove both front wheels, un-bolted both front engine mounts, jacked the engine up 1/4" then tightened up the front left hand engine mount which pulled the engine across just a few millimeters. Just enough to move the right exhaust manifold away from the chassis and stop it from banging which has been annoying the hell out of me for the last few weeks.
Job completed in under 30 minutes, its easy once you work out what the cause of the problem is :-)

Fitted new handbrake handle... Love the feel hand just slips perfectly round it and although punting on and off while stationary in the garage it when orientated into best position seems to promote the ideal lifting angle for activate the anchors securely smile
