Front was delaminated and broke when it came out, but I'm guessing they weren't overly careful because it was going to be binned anyway. Rear came out intact.

Mechanic next to put engine and transmission in with new clutch and hopefully a Tilton release bearing and then off to the trimmer. Then back to the mechanic, MOT and finally divorce!!

As we all know 'soon' is a relative term in the TVR world smile anytime before the end of summer would be nice

My park zone arrived and now fitted in garage so I won't be getting too close to the wall anymore. In fact I'll be parking in the same spot everytime.

Also managed to fit my GoPro curved mount to my dash (central bet wan the 2 windscreen/car heaters). Hopefully I'll get some good footage of meets and run outs. YouTube channel to come.

Took for a great drive and topped up fluids after but I was told I have the perfect sounding car! well not exactly!!! after stopping outside Costa in Stony Stratford (overrunning into the high street) I was told by an lets say elderly lady... I think your exhaust is broken!! I replied oh its OK its meant to sound like that... her response was... Oh OK well its bloody awful!

So in my own terms I took it as that is what she is meant to say and it translate to My ACT full decay sport pipe is hitting every note it should hahahahahaha

Oh and picked up my spare dash after being carbon dipped.... A donation and exchange of cracked wood dash can get it off me wink

I fitted a drivers seat out of a Honda S2000 and I took it back out of it again because I hated it even more than I hate the original Cerebra seat.

So basically I spent about 3 hours at the car and effectively I did nothing.

I should have just driven it.

Maybe keep it TVR and try some T350 seats?
They look pretty comfy.
Pretty rare to come up for sale though

Revvit - my slave just failed and as its an early clutch I am looking at a new bellhousing, slave and clutch pack at mega$$$$.

Should I ask the garage to look at the Tilton route? Where are you having yours done?

Thanks

I had a last minute change of mind rolleyes

After talking with the mechanic who is building the car (he looks after several race cars and knows a thing or two) he has convinced me that I should try a Raceproved clutch slave cylinder, as in his opinion, if installed correctly there should be no issues. So I have bought an AP Racing clutch, lightened flywheel and Raceproved clutch slave cylinder.

If the damned thing fails, then I will be on the phone to Competition Supplies and ordering a Tilton mad

The only thing I would like to explore if I did go down the Tilton route in the future, is whether the bell housing can be machined to take the Tilton unit, thus making for easier removal if ever needed.

Good luck

Are the black borders on the rear lenses on from new or are they added as part of the fitting process? I've just bought new lenses but they have no border, cheers.

I believe it is a primer applied to the bodywork, much in the same way as they prime the windscreen aperture before bonding the screen in.

I think I'll let S&D fit them once it's been painted, looks like a job for a very steady hand and not a first timer, cheers.
