Are the black borders on the rear lenses on from new or are they added as part of the fitting process? I've just bought new lenses but they have no border, cheers.
Looking at it again, the primer must be applied to both surfaces.

Picked it up from Joolz after a remap and had a wonderfully smooth drive back. The first time I pulled smartly out of a side road a big number 11 magically appeared on the road behind.

I've been playing with the center cubby hole, removed the speaker and glued a phone case to some plastic with the wiring tucked away behind.

It's an obscuration band if I remember the term right, hides the adhesive from site and also protects it from the Sun.

A little bit of rain and the new lady didn't like it one bit.....passenger door window went down but not up!

Door cards off and terminal cleaned up....nothing..

Switches for window don't seem guilty....

Could only get the window up by plugging and unplugging the control box in the boot....

There's a poor connection somewhere!!

Yesterday I replaced a faulty coil-pack with a Sagem unit from a Saxo in a breakers yard. That would have been a result had I not been at the Ring, and missed the entire track day.

Which switch have you checked? I only ask because there is a micro switch behind the glass. I managed to disturb mine which meant that the window would go down but not up. You might not have touched yours but it could be . Worth a look perhaps.

Erm.......dunno.......thinking about it, it could be that it serves to tell the 'ECU' when the window is heading towards the top of it's travel. Once the window goes past the switch it releases it such that it stops it from going all the way to the top. I guess that way it means the door can be shut ready for the window to carry on up to the top and make the seal up to the roof line. This or I could be spouting absolute b*llocks smile

Cheers

Ian

Cleaned rats nest out from around the passenger footwell and had TrackvRoad source the reason my mil light wouldn't go off. Rat had eaten a wire from the air pressure sensor. 😳. All good now but smells a bit of rats p!ss.

Yup, I now know that they last about four years. Sadly I didn't follow my own advice and replace them six months ago when I last had the fuel rail off - Doh!

Just bought another pair for £14 each, but will be carrying the Sagem as a spare from now on.

I took every tool I own except my spark plug socket, which really slowed down the diagnosis. Fortunately the nice mechanics at Radical's workshop in Adenau lent me a socket.

I did manage two sighting laps, but I'm trying not to dwell on the cost per lap...

This was a replacement for the CircuitDays trackday in April last year that was cancelled due to fog. So I guess you have a point. However I'm returning in a couple of weeks for DN14, we'll see how that goes.

To be honest, any Ring Trip where you get to drive home again afterwards I consider to be a Result.
