Drove it, lots

Plus prep for the MOT and a trip to Belgium soon.
Finally got around to fitting the reversing camera. I've a JVC KD-AVX2 head unit with Dab and iPod add ons, which has the ability to add a reversing camera. One of these for under a tenner
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161994639331
Wired to the reversing light, it activates the head unit when you select reverse and doesn't kill the radio - if you select the right option in the JVC radio.

Camera is mounted in the rear numberplate, in the middle of the euro circle of stars.

Also currently playing with one of these, a £33 go pro equivilent which is actually really good.

Congratulations!

Rosso Pearl is one of my least favorite colours. Fortunately only the roof and rear of my car are Rosso Pearl, unfortunately some lunatic has painted the front end an even more absurd pink.

Today I managed to find someone who could remove the seized rear toe adjusters from the wishbones, but I am now running out of time to get my car ready for a proper Geo Setup at Topcats booked for two weeks time.

I'm still wincing at the bill of £50 just for rear thrust washers, let alone another £100 for all the new rear bushes.

Thanks!
Must admit it wasn't my first choice of colour but beggars on a budget can't be choosers and actually it's growing on me... probably 'cos it's mine!
It was repainted in 2010 so hopefully it's not actually Rosso but that later colour (Red Glow?) I've read about that doesn't fade so quickly. Must find out.

Oh I completely agree. And anyway you can't see what colour it is when you're driving it, oh wait perhaps you can...

Proof that the only thing keeping my car on the road is POR15

It may not be pretty (especially the way I use it) but it really does work

Spent another couple of hours today in the wheel arches with various wire brushes, while everyone else has enjoyed the sunshine

Rear is now ready for a new coat or two while the wishbones are being rebuilt

I love rosso pearl, perhaps yours has faded more than mine?

You just need to find favourable light to park it in

Nice, black interior is a strange choice, usually they are light. Could work well.

You seem to be incapable of taking a bad photo, you could probably even make mine look good...

Yep, I wasn't sure until I saw it. I'm told that the car was green originally. But now, I think it's the perfect interior, it's understated to the point of not being there ie not being a distraction, and now, to me, the cream interiors look rather 'Tom Selleck's boudoir' by comparison (JMHO!) wink.

Hi Dave, thanks for the welcome, just over 33 hours to pick-up... driving
I'm near Portsmouth... just about the opposite end of the region. But cars are for driving...!

Sorry to have missed Shoreham breakfast, that's a great venue, but have put July 31st in the diary already.
All best.

You can sometimes work miracles with the right light and/or a polariser biggrin

Bicester Heritage has some great locations You could either park it miles away or next to a rusty building

Hi Rik , I'll email you then we can stay in contact that way as I spent much more time on the cerbera forums on Facebook, I just find them easier and quicker to use than logging on to this all the time.

...collected it from Lymington, gave it a tankful of Shell's finest, and drove it to its new home in Waterlooville.
Love it. cloud9
