Yea come on Nick, spill the beans smile
Absolutely no idea, but it sounds cool. Sticking with the 4.5 .... 4.7 is a slippery road to LS etc tongue out

Nah, 4.7 is just more AJP than the AJPbiggrin

Teflon is to help the piston slide in the bore and reduce wear.

Nice stickerage. Not leaving them on for a while?

All gone yesterday except for the union flag on the roof that's been there for 3 years and the "TVR 'cos Porsche is for girls" banner on the rear window. The flag is coming off tonight, might leave the banner on for a while to wind up the local Porsche drivers clap

Annual attention to those pesky outriggers...

But rather than just throw on another layer of black waxoyl, I bit the bullet and took them back to where I started six years ago - bare surface rusting followed by a coat of Kurust and two layers of POR15.

Horrible job, but happy now smile

Just need to each jet wash each wheel arch now

I to done that over winter. I did make some guards to go with the front ones I make but wasn't happy with them. Must get round to making another set of prototypes.

That's a good idea. My OSF has a guard, and the outrigger behind it is like new. But then again it possibly due the constant splatting of PAS oil and engine oil from the pump assy rolleyes

Not sure what to do with them now. Re-coat the re-painted bits with waxoyl for consistency - but it just creates suspicion... It's like women in Leggings - you're never sure what it looks like underneath...

Being overtaken by a very swift Jag at the Ring

Sadly that was the high point of the day, because half a lap later my gearbox mounts failed.

So I am now stuck at the Ring.

Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to get it sorted tomorrow (as a temporary repair at least) so I can get home.

I should probably add, I collected a windscreen (early type) from TVR Parts on Friday. The latest news is they have plenty in stock at their warehouse. Certainly there was one waiting for me at their industrial unit as I'd emailed a couple of days earlier.

I removed my Union Flag from the roof (my personal protest about the Brexit vote! blah ). I's been on there for 3 years but it was time it went. Just one Le Mans graphic left, on the rear window

Picked her up from Joolz.

So much more responsive now and the suspension actually works now that he's set it up properly thumbup

Mines a pretty much standard 4.2 and now has 100bhp more than when it went in with. Amazing what blocked cats and knackered fuel injectors can rob from your engine.

Unfortunately it was not the gearbox mounts

Sorry to see that Paul. You do seem to be cursed.

I drove mine for the first time in nearly a year! Was great to finally get it back on the road. Now to find out what standing for a year is going to cause to fail.rolleyes
