Took it for a couple of hours blatting, been away on business and holiday, so rude not to take it out, dusted off the windscreen though... Had a daft M5 driving at 10/10ths behind me at one point, not sure he realised I was at 5/10ths. Seemed pleased when I eased off though.

Ordered a buzzer that will let me know if I have left lights on when engine is on... Also managed to find a supplier of the steering wheel decals in domed vinyl so ordered a set of those too.

Investigated the scraping noise on full-lock... to find a groove 'machined' in the rear faces of the front discs where they have been rubbing on the bodies of the lower ball-joints. The joints look very new, only just bought the car and think they were changed at the last MoT. Hmmmm...
Calipers and discs off, judicious application of a disc-grinder to radius their outer edges to match that of the wishbones. Brake fluid change while I was at it.
Anyone else had this? (this is a separate issue to the grinding of a chamfered edge on the upper face of the lower ball-joint).

Took gearbox off, found missing teeth.

Took six words to describe, took ten hours to do.

Managed to wrestle the Starter Motor out of my AJP 4.2 - this really is the toughest job I think I've ever done on a car!

Was lazy and just picked up the car from Str8six with a newly repaired keyway in the PAS pump drive and a shiny new MoT - yay.

Hey Chibbard,
That is one gorgeous Cerbera! I know the consensus re Spiders is not good but they look so right. Also matched with the Harlequin type paint that changes as you move around the car or as it passes you in this instance.
Fabulous. I wish mine looked half as good as that.

The run to Wedge meet at topcats was great. Even had time to fit steering wheel button stickers and get tyre pressures up to correct. Was worried when left rear was only reading 9psi but didn't look that flat at all?

Even had time to collect light buzzer for if they are left on when engine off... That will spare my battery nicely oon my absent minded days. wink

Thanks for the kind comments, yep it's a lovely car. I'm the second owner (since 14 years ago and it looks as fresh as when I bought it now. Now only done 23000 miles and cannot ever see me getting rid of it!!

Hi Alistair, yep will get the wheel badges sorted next week along with some other bits. Will try and get it back on the road towards the end of August as I'm on holiday in early August. What date is it?
