Good spot... silly me I didn't even think to address it before putting the holder back *&^%!! It will be the vibration from the said holder. I reckon it now has enough clearance (I type with a worried look). I'll sort "soon"

Edited to add... Getting up to go and sort this issue now as OCD is winning this fight!

Back into garage to do a final fix on my interior buttons. I had a few sets produced and have spares in other colours... so feel free to PM wink.

I had them done colour coded (silver on red) and have the domed vinyl 3D over them window arrows and starring wheel logo. Then took a lot of time to prep and prime surface and can now safely say they are on for good!

Thats me done tinkering for today... tomorrow she gets a full tank of Shells finest and a jolly good 100m+ round trip

Haha well played. Was family duty in London sorry mate the Nextel time I'm down you can bring the LST. The new buttons give me something to look at for now rather than your pipes... However when the 4.7MBE lands I think conversations will be very different :P

Where do I start! Apart from the great drive down to south end on sea for the RIP James Staines memorial which was a lovely event.

When leaving the group after handshake I did this infront of everyone!

A near side low bollard I completely forgot was there when manoeuvring saving grace is my sills a vinyl wrapped anyway but they will just need a strip repair and paint so all in all nothing major it just sounded a lot worse!

Door will need a slight alignment I think as now window thinks it's up when it's only 3/4 up?

That sounds like the door thinks it is open so check the operation of the reed switch in the door, you may have dislodged the magnet in the sill that operates it.

Thanks Gruff aka my Oracle! Sounds correct as the window doesn't drop any further on opening and interior light stays on (as if door was open)

Car will be off to central this week me thinks so I'll use the opportunity to get a few other bits done. They can sort those issues.

Hopefully can have sorted ready for the Naughties weekend.

Went outside to take a closer look its even lighter than I though! MASSIVE SMILE. Vinyl wrap on lower door took all the staining and is not pierced so a strip and rewrap is all thats needed to that smile The sill t the car has a very light grazing so that can be blended by the gang but more important is to sort the door closed sensor.

A nice and easy excuse to get all those other bits done while they have the car at Central Phew!

Encouraged a driver to get off his mobile phone.

He wandered over the lanes on a dual carriageway, not paying attention, pulled up alongside at traffic lights and about 4K revs and some backfiring made the point. biggrin

I'm not convinced that using cheesehead bolts on the exhaust manifolds is a good idea. Access is not great, so undoing them with the engine in is not going to be easy, at all. I can only undo the rearmost bolt from underneath.

However if they were fitted with the engine in situ then fair enough. Would be good to see the hex tool they used.

Paul, yes they were installed with the engine insitu, and yes the mechanic has skinned knuckles!

On the basis of these amazing efforts, I did suggest that he may have been a gynaecologist in a previous life laugh
