You want to crimp a small plain ring terminal onto the wire with no connector and put it on the bolt that you attach the switch to the body with under the nut and washer. The connection on the switch is at the front, and the bolt is what connects it to the wiring.

Yep thanks mine is held in with a self taping screw. But found a small ring terminal took the insulation off it and fitted it behind the switch with screw going through it. All done.

Ideally the switch is held by a small screw that passes through the switch and through the body. Then the ring terminal is fitted followed by a washer and nut.
Access is by undoing the bolt that secures the fuse box, sliding it around until you can get your hand up behind it to reach the back of the switch. Some patience and strong language may be needed.

All the boot switches I have seen have been on the passenger side. Nice to see that TVR manufacturing consistency standards have been maintained even in this small detail biggrin

Yes, it baffled me for a while with everyone saying it was on the passenger side! And then I was reluctant to disturb the fuse box. You can't pull it out, you have to wiggle it and push it down and back, if you get my drift...
