Reliable and Practical Cerbera, sort of
Discussion
Had to travel to Normandy for work last week, and as there were 4 of us going and we needed to carry lots of camera and video equipment and overnight bags the vw camper was the obvious choice. Until at the last minute it was pointed out that LPG vehicles weren't allowed on the Chunnel. So....Cerbera it had to be...bit of a squeeze, but we all fitted in with all the kit and it got us there and back beautifully. Who says a Cerbera isn't practical? Love that car!
With only one hiccup though...as it often doesn't move for a month and I can't put a trickle charger on, I decided to have a battery cut off switch fitted. Tried it a week ago for the first time and when I re-armed it on Tuesday night to set off the battery was completely flat, totally flat due to the battery cut off switch, annoying. Jump start and all was fine, but ironic that in trying to improve the car's reliability I made it unreliable.
Must drive it more often....
