Had to travel to Normandy for work last week, and as there were 4 of us going and we needed to carry lots of camera and video equipment and overnight bags the vw camper was the obvious choice. Until at the last minute it was pointed out that LPG vehicles weren't allowed on the Chunnel. So....Cerbera it had to be...bit of a squeeze, but we all fitted in with all the kit and it got us there and back beautifully. Who says a Cerbera isn't practical? Love that car!

With only one hiccup though...as it often doesn't move for a month and I can't put a trickle charger on, I decided to have a battery cut off switch fitted. Tried it a week ago for the first time and when I re-armed it on Tuesday night to set off the battery was completely flat, totally flat due to the battery cut off switch, annoying. Jump start and all was fine, but ironic that in trying to improve the car's reliability I made it unreliable.

Must drive it more often....

Joe

Wow four up all that way. My 12 year old can only just squeeze in with head up against rear screen. No way anyone with legs would get in behind the driver seat.

I had to move my seat a bit forward - and they certainly weren't hugely comfortable, or happy in the back...

and it was pretty low after filling up with fuel!

I've had 4 adults in mine, but it's a real contortionist squeeze. Luckily I have the drivers seat fully forwar

Bet the rear seaters loved you for that one! How many miles did you cover with them contorted in the back?

About 400 miles in total, 27 hour round trip. It was pretty grueling but we got some great footage as the weather was perfect. At least in the Cerb the driving is only a few hours, if we were in the T25 we'd be comfortable but still driving. ..
