Is there a way??
Discussion
I want to replace my head gaskets. (27k so they wont last much longer)
But is there any way you can replace them without taking out the engine?
I'm currently still building my garage so i dont have the space to do an engine out just yet.
If not, it'll have to wait until my garage is finished

Short answer; No - the front cover has to come off and cant be removed with the engine in situ because of lack of clearance between it and the chassis member in front of it.
Long answer; As ukkid35 has proved, it can be done with the engine within the engine bay, by lifting the engine clear of the offending chassis member and supporting it from underneath. I am sure he will be along shortly to give further details if he hasn't already beaten me to it with an answer.

ETA I see he did beat me to it!

I assume they have actually blown? It's not like they have to be changed at a certain mileage like the timing chain and it's a hell of a lot of work to change them as a precaution.Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
