Trust that your wife will recover soon and that you can join us another time.
+1 for next time, hopefully Joo will have burned all the coal!

These graphs are all fine, ajp's are all slightly different and items such as induction type and exhausts can play a part in final figures. The one constant is the Dyno set up Jools uses to measure power and torque, this appears to have remained the same, my graph I posted earlier is 9 years old!! I keep my 450bhp graph for special occasions though.....

There are charts from three different Dynos on this thread. Charlie's Surrey Rolling Road, Joolz original Track Car Solutions, Joolz current APEC Belgium.

Charlie and Joolz TCS rolling roads always gave similar numbers for my car

My two charts (done within a week or so of each other) show a very good correlation for them too.

This is mine done on Joolz dyno a few years back...
The 399bhp is slightly unrepresentative, this was (I believe) a run late in the evening with cool air.... The other times my Cerb has been on Joolz dyno (and when the very same dyno was at RaceProoved) it made between 393 - 396 bhp.

I honestly cannot say that I've ever noticed or felt the slight dip in the curve at approx 4500rpm on the road. Ever.

I'd actually forgotten that I'd had the head ported until I read the description on the dyno print out.... paperbag

You aren't going to be proved wrong, not by my car at least. I think you misunderstand what I said - I meant that as a 4.7 owner, I already know that my engine won't make the big power that was suggested by some.

£14.2k gets you a billet crank, new cams and followers and this...

On Jools dyno

On Surrey Rolling Roads dyno

Hardly the 450 bhp that was bandied about when deciding to to go for a 4.7 rather than a 4.2 or 4.5 rebuild. furious

That must be running out of flow.. It starts tailing off before a 4.5 does! Strange.. Sure it drives lovely though!!

How much was your at Charlies that time Fubar? I seem to remember it was quite impressive and up there on the bragging rights scale.

421 bhp, although I did have a run about 18 months ago and it was down to about 410 bhp IIRC (since had a faulty injector replaced but cant say if that was the reason)

The day before this it went on the Austec rollers at 426 bhp, but we all know their rollers are vastly over wink

Maybe they are all scared that after spending lots of pennies, the quoted BHP figures won't be that good?
Everyone that I know of with a 4.7 knows exactly what power they are or aren't making so being 'scared of finding out' has no bearing on it...
Sorry, I wasn't poking fun, was only trying to have some light hearted banter. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and just hear the Cerbs roaring.

Slightly sore point considering the output/expenditure ratio wink

Yes I can understand that. The power should be there, something isn't happy, hence the low output, but I bet you already know that. I hope you can develop it to get the required power.

Looks a decent enough graph haha!

Didn't Austec change their Rollers though during the early days of tuning?? Hence the initial comments on reading accuracy?

Either way the cars with induction, exhaust, remap etc pretty much made within 10-20bhp of each other, pretty good and not that noticeable at circa 400bhp.

Glad yours is still going strong and hats off for keeping it. Still wish I had mine sometimes.

Jules.

I am aware of that. My comment refers to the fact that Joolz is still using the same set up as he did many years ago. Dynamometers are easily manipulated unless the set up parameters remain constant. Joolz appears to be running the newer software on his dynamometer, but set up looks the same.

Ive no idea about changing rollers buddy. I cant think of serious replacement for it. Well, not that I can afford lol...and the kids go 'radio rental' whenever I mention changing it. I think its coming to the grave with me!

Never thought about getting another?

Yes, I occasionally check to see what's available. Would make the perfect weekend type car. Quite a few engine rebuild as well as engine replacement options as well.

I think if my two young boys ever get the chance to go out in a Cerb, then they will be smitten also. They love my CLS mainly due to the noise, in fact I am on my second CLS55 as I enjoyed the first one so much!
