Oooh, a Cerb dyno shootout not at SRR? Should be some fireworks
I'm confused now, is the proposal SRR or Chez Joolz? When I were a lad etc
Hi Everyone,
Just got word from a hectic Joolz that Saturday April 25th 2015 is the best weekend for the Shootout
So, that leaves plenty of time to sort out the usual *niggles and gives lots of lead time to shuffle around our calendar.
I know this mightn't suit everyone. If we can get a full day of power runs, comparable figures for a bit of banter, a blue sky and a bite to eat, then it should be a great day.
The last time my car was on the rollers it made 414 (with cats) . If I get anywhere north of 400 this time I'd be more than pleased!
Best wishes

Think you are rewriting history. Srr and joolz had similar dyno results. Others had flattering results.
Here we go again, just like the old days! By your world if its not Joolz the wonder kid (peace out Joolz ) then its rubbish and everyone else is lying. 2004 I had my car dyno'd at Austec at 409bhp and there were screams of "bullst" and that 400bhp was not achievable (not from Joolz himself I may add). There was an anomaly that the 409bhp dyno run showed 430lbs torque, but that has never been repeated and dropped to a more believable 370lbs. In 2008 I had dyno runs just months apart from SRR (421bhp) and Austec (426bhp), which I did on purpose to compare. Variables on the day could be the explanation, I don't know, I'm no engineer, but +5bhp isn't exactly a 'flattering' result. My last run at SRR, taken approx 18 months, ago was down at about 406, but we've since found out I had a faulty injector which has been replaced. Car is currently having a respray after which I'm sure I'll get a 'flattering' dyno run done and then fingers crossed I can make it up to the shootout.

We've all been at Charlie's with some owners expecting huge figure that were nowhere near. Others such as you and me knew what our cars always reached and they were almost spot on there everytime which is reassuring.

That's just fkin typical! I coach my son's rugby team and that weekend we are in Weymouth on his first ever rugby tour, which coincides with his birthday. Missing it is not an option for me I'm afraid.Just got word from a hectic Joolz that Saturday April 25th 2015 is the best weekend for the Shootout
Still, gives Gary another year to slag off the opposition

Well it's booked in so let the bull stop! Any other AJP 4.7's coming along?
Hope Brummie don't bring the beast it nearly ripped Joos rollers, out last time
My 4.7 is booked in for big injectors and mapping in a couple of weeks. I will try and get up to Chezvegas again for this next year.Hope Brummie don't bring the beast it nearly ripped Joos rollers, out last time
What did your 4.7 make in the end?
So to settle the score we decided to take our high powered Cerbs to the drag strip to prove the dodgy numbers translated to the Tarmac.........we all know what the result was........11.9sec 1/4 mile......Team Joolz 1 - Team Austec 0......
Happy days.......but a long time ago now.
Good to see lots of the old guard still with Cerbs.

Can you fit me in ?. Would be nice to how mine compares to a 4.7 and other modified cerbs. I would make it an overnight stay due to the distance so can anyone think of some evening entertainment?
Chesterfield have a place...Krystal? Never been there. "Aye up mee duck" is kinda off putting. Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
