If you don't use it in the winter, it is going to be payback time in the spring...
20 years of taking Tivs off the road at the end of Sept and putting them back on in May has never once produced any issue. Added bonus has also been no rust.
but that's not 20 years of AJP is it ? scratchchin
What would be the real difference on laying a car up just because it had an AJP? Different tyre pressures? A more jaunty cover? wink
Same here last 8 years with tvrs and 4 with the ajp engined car, no adverse affects. As long as it goes away dry and stays dry it will do no harm, all the better if you can put it on axles stands and get the weight off the suspension/tyres. I like to spray a film of wd40 over the electrics in the engine bay, wipe off again come spring before first start, and I have it on a trickle charger.

Mine will have the oil/ filter changed before the first start as well, I only covered 4k last summer but I do it regardless of mileage every spring.

I asked this question in General but it has already fallen off the first page with no reply, I'll maybe have more luck here.

My recently purchased Cerbera is currently in a Carcoon Veloce in a workshop I share and I am happy with that, but I have a set of Levo Artis ramps that I was thinking of putting inside the Carcoon to get access underneath the car to fiddle with and clean bits etc.

The ramps would damage the floor of the Carcoon as might anything I spill or splash, oil, paint etc. so I thought about rubber matting on the floor.

Do you think this would encourage damp to form under the rubber matting?

The Carcoon operation is supposed to prevent damp but air wouldn't circulate under the mat is this an issue or am I worrying about a problem that isn't there ?

As I work away it will be laid up for a month at a time possible two months over winter.
