Hello peeps, my cerb is causing trouble and I'd like to run some symptoms past you for feedback.

When I reset throttle position, the needles (I'm using the RS-AJP app) drop to 12, but as soon as the engine is started, they ping up to 15. Crucially if I then turn off the engine and turn ignition back on, they’re stuck at 15 and need resetting again. I can do this time after time after time and it’s entirely predictable.

I’ve tried running with a full battery and disconnected alternator and the same thing happens.

I’ve also tried it with lambda sensors disconnected so as to eliminate the effect from their heating elements. No joy. Interestingly no error is logged on either sensor during this test.

I have balanced my throttles recently.

I will be splitting off the lambda ground so as to eliminate this from my enquiries, but I’d be very interested in any comments especially on the TPS reset.

Cheers, Martin

EDIT: FFS, talk about RTFM...

"The throttle pots should maintain a reading of approx. 15% WHEN THE ENGINE IS IDLING AT 900-950RPM."

Just to add to this: If I reset the throttles with the engine running, they still ping up to 15 after a second or so at idle.

What should they read? and how on earth can the ECU keep "losing" the reset?
