One of the ignition coils went down (left bank) and the Cerb was a 7cylinder. The fault was verified by changing the spark plug cables and than did a retest with a pulse tester.

I ordered two new ones from eurocarparts:
http://www.eurocarparts.com (Part-No. 413545061)

After that and some surfing in the net i dicovered this:
http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/e2038-tvr-car-part...

They costs a more that the stuff from eurocarparts. But they wrote this in the discription:
"TVR Coil pack (for TVR AJP8 engines / 2 required per car). Please note that this is the correct high spec NGK and Bosch unit and not a cheaper aftermarket unit that will not fit and operate correctly. Price per coil.
£99.00 ex VAT"

Did i make an mistake to buy the cheap ones? PS: Hopefully my english is ok.

Greets from germany, Mike.

I used a pair of cheap Chinese coil packs costing £25 each, that was over three years ago and perhaps 12k miles. They are working perfectly despite warnings to the contrary. I am cheap, I have a cheap car, I run it for almost nothing (with a lot of help from people here who help out and lend me stuff).

Any chance you will make it to one of the Destination Nurburgring events this year? I know it's 250 miles from you, but it's still easier for you than for us.

You know you want to!

Hi Both,

Sorry to hi-jack the thread
BUT
Is there an information point for these trips ukkid35 ?

Would love to catch up with some TVR Brits again this year as there has been a drought of EuroCerbHoons for a few years.

Ta !
