Only 9 mins as a 911 span then we went back out and another 911 was destroyed, and i mean destroyed!
So around 13mins in total, as it was a track taster session, but the noise should seem odd to you guys, camera position is a work in progress.

Wow - looks busy out there but at least the weather was good!

I was going to bring my 4.2 but didn't get the time in the end - so maybe a weekday session is in order as that will have more space

BTW is this the 911 that wiped out?

Yowch - but luckily the video says that both occupants were OK smile

That was it, I'm not sure why those 2 continued past the pit entrance despite the red flags and everyone else pulling in mad

Yes that was it, not one wheel was pointing in the same direction!

What tyres were you running out of interest?

The camera seemed to be picking up some vibration at higher RPM, was that just due to where it was mounted? Also, have you got a picture of your camera mount you could share please? Car looked great!

I've done 2 track days at Silverstone and always found the track very slippy. I gave up with the Cerb on one visit and took out a MG ZR instead. Admittedly the track was cold but I don't have this problem at other venues, does anyone else have the same experience.

Toyo r1r but are past their best, mount is a windscreen sucker mount on seat shell, but the sucker isn't rigid enough, so might try a sticky mount.

And just as I was thinking "smooth ride", at 7:30 she seems to be fighting back through the bends (or exit thereof) smile

Would be great to get a cheap GPS logger so you can overlay speed on the video (there is free software to do this from a GPS log file, can't remember where though).

Can someone point me in the direction of said device, would be quite fun, will they react fast enough for drag racing?

You can start here: http://www.holux.com/JCore/en/products/products_li... I have one of their receivers (doesn't log) which is great.

Oddly enough though, you can use an iPhone + app to do the same which is what I do when skiing, just make sure the iPhone is on charge, GPS does drain battery quickly if used for hours at a time.

As for accuracy, don't know what would be used in drag racing, but doesn't vBox and such like use GPS ? They are considered to be pretty reliable when it comes to timing, 0-60, etc... Of course it won't be as good as a proper timing beam + transponder, GPS will introduce some variation.

While I'm on vBox, these are more specific products for your application
http://www.vboxmotorsport.co.uk/index.php/en/produ... (you can add an input module to this which can be used to log four analogue inputs and one digital (RPM) input from the car in real time)

Hope it helps
