I've run the older AD08 on mine, decent compromise but still flawed. Firm sidewalls ,(which I love) great dry weather grip and above average on track (less wear/damage than on a road based tyre).

However, they aren't a whole heap of fun in low temperature conditions (below 3 degrees C). Pretty good in the wet as long as it isn't cold.

I ended up buying another set of wheels and running rally tyres for track and will soon be going for some road tyres for road use. These hybrid road and track tyres just don't quite make the sense that they should do.

Not as good as a decent road tyre when conditions are wet and cold, not as good as a track tyre when you really go for it on track. In my opinion of course...

That is why I change tyres for the winter and run the normal road tyres when cold but swapped over to the Kumho's a couple of weeks ago.

I used to run Hankook RS2's when they were available on my old E30.. Loved them! Great fast road tyre, but didn't go off on track. Sure not quite an R888 or similar, but a good compromise imo.

3 months ago I put vredestein ultrac sessanta on my M5 and they are seriously good in my opinion. Awesome in wet, think 120 in full on rain and 100% confidence. 10 mins hard pushing and they are nicely warm to the touch. Alot of grip and lovely progressive on the slide and breakaway. I haven't tracked them but if they come in the right size for cerb i'll be giving them ago.

Great price from tyreleader as well, full set for the M was £100 cheaper than any garage could even buy them for trade price. What size tyres go on the 17 rims? My cerbie is in garage parking waiting for new drive shafts so I can nip out to check!

Looks like you can get rears for £96 but cant get fronts in a 40 profile.

Goodyear F1 for me too. Hugely confident tyres in all weathers.
Not used GY F1's for years, the last set I had was on the V8S over ten years ago, I found the sidewalls felt like they were made of jelly, not good. Chopped them very quickly back for Bridgestone's.

Looked at the latest variant of those, R-S3 Z222, look good but they don't do the front size for RL7 17"

I think RS3's are a real struggle to get hold of here as they aren't E Marked.. They definitely weren't when I tried to find them before anyway.

The tyre review was one person for the RS3's.. I think it was from the US as well where you can get them easily!

I don't think you can get them in the UK. Shame.

I would quite fancy running some V70's next tbh.

I had R888s followed by RS2s on my MX5 and would definitely agree with that.

On the Cerb I currently have Federal 595 RS-Rs which have worked very well for me so far; plenty of dry grip and pretty good in the wet too.

Camskill recommended 595's to me, just need convincing from Cerb owners, what wear rating are they? What's road noise like? and any fouling of the square shoulder experiences....can you draw comparisons with the 888's...

I am going to try Pirelli Trofeo R, standard fit on Hyper Cars these days.

Sound interesting. They do not come in 17" for RL7 fitment though.

They are comparable to the RS2s rather than the R888s, but there again the R888s are closer to cut slicks than a road tyre!

I have the wrong offsets on the rear (ET33 instead of ET42) and the square profile of the tyre is causing issues with rubbing on the arches. Even with the correct offset though I think it would be close with the 255x35 tyres, with 245x35 it would definitely be ok. Fronts are 225x40 and are ok. (All on spiders 18x8.5J)

Can't comment on the road noise as I'm decatted with sport pipes... Wear is good, I've done 10k and still plenty of meat left on the rears.

I am not keen on 595's.. I have seen treads splitting and falling apart on them..

Can't comment on them from ten years ago but I've had them on my Cerbera for the last 9, all weathers and trackdays. Always found them very good wear, grip and performance. Predicable in all weathers. Tyre pressures possibly? I've found 24psi all around to be good.

I have however swapped the Bridgestones for kumho's on the MX-5 as they were £50 cheaper a tyre and I needed a full set. They don't feel as planted and do have those firm jelly feel so I won't be buying those again.
