Same here....look superb and light as a feather, but mine are bloody tight fit and a bugger to attach/detach though. Might look to modify the support brackets on mine.
Are they bulkier than the standard ones ?purpleliability said:
Does anyone know if these can be modified to fit the 4.2 inlets?
I'm wondering if the larger volume of the 4.5 air box has any benefit over the smaller 4.2 ones... Also Carbon fibre, mmmm
It can be done, but I think you would have to cut and graft the mounting section of the 4.2 air box onto the 4.5 onesI'm wondering if the larger volume of the 4.5 air box has any benefit over the smaller 4.2 ones... Also Carbon fibre, mmmm

Hi,
I bought the ACT CF backplates as the originals were in bad (crushed) condition. The backplates fit very well to the original airboxes - no problems at all and very strong.

I bought them as well but they don't fit very wel with my short induction.I bought the ACT CF backplates as the originals were in bad (crushed) condition. The backplates fit very well to the original airboxes - no problems at all and very strong.

It would be better if they were a bit tilted.
