Is it possible to relocate the passenger seat farther back?
I realise the seat is put where it is, to gain access into the back, but as ill not realy be using the back seat, ide like to relocate it a bit farther back.
Anyone done it.?
Is it easy.
PS its a 2000 car with the "Tuscan" style seats.
Thanks.

I hope I understand question correctly but can you not just sit in the passenger seat pull the adjuster lever underneath and slide it back as far as it will go? The even use the tilt to recline it??

When I've done that it basically leans up against the rear seats.

I hope I've helped?

From what ive read,,In most ceberas the passenger seat has been mounted more forward than the drivers seat. Supposedly to allow easier access to the rear seats.
Occasionally I carry some tall people, so its a bit of a challenge for them to not only get in and out but also be comfortable..
Yes the seat will slide back on its runners , but not far enough...

Yes, the Cerbera layout means that the passenger seat is mounted a bit further forward than the driver's seat, it's what TVR called a 3+1 I believe.

Having said that, I'm 6' 3" and can easily & comfortably fit in the passenger seat, and have done for several long journeys. What I have found as a tall Cerbera owner/driver is that you perfect a entry/exit method for the driver's side, so it feels a bit weird when getting in and out of the passenger side. Unless your tall passengers are also going to be regular drivers they won't notice.

In theory you could reposition the seat, as standard it's only bolted through the fibreglass floor (some people have modified their chassis to include steel braces that the seats bolt to). But, the fibreglass moulding has some location features that fit the bolt positions.

Personally I wouldn't bother, it's more hassle that it's worth IMHO.

Easy-peasy: Whilst in the seat, move the seat fully forward, get out of the car, incline the seatback fully forward, reach in behind the seat,
reach down to the base of the rear passenger's footwell
and pull out the horse's head that's blocking the runners

Its only bolted to the fibreglass floor on the passengers side, so re drill holes, i dont think you will get much more though.

Remove the seat completely and then the passenger can sit in the back but with lots of leg room :-)

whilst under the car today i had a look at the setting positions.

The driver is mounted through the middle chassis tube and fibre glass at the front and the passenger side is just forward of the middle chassis tube by maybe two inches and is mounted just through the fibre glass

Are you sure the seat is actually sliding as far back as it can go? My drivers one used to stop two thirds of the way back then a good hard shove got it the rest of the way.
