At my age I should know better but... I fancied a change of wheel and decided to fit some 16" spiders from a Tamora. I knew it was going to be close, but they do rub a little on the inside of the rear wheel arches. The thinnest part of the arch is 24mm. That's from outter painted surface to black inner arch as it returns inside the arch. How much do we think is safe to file off from the inner black part of the arch? Is that part of the body just a solid chunk of glass, or is there two walls of glass that could be perforated? I hope that all makes sence!?

Up to you but you've got the wrong offset. If you want 16 inch wheels (16 inch spiders aren't a nice look imho) then get some saturns. They will be v cheap and less agro than filing arches.

I'm well aware of the off set, as I said, I knew it would be close. If I could get hold of another two front 16" spiders that would suit me very well as I really like them. But I still come back to my original questions...
